I bought a new pellet grill and wanted that extra smoke that my offset smoker made and saw some youtube videos about these smoker tubes. I use it all the time and it definitely adds smoke, and flavor to your food. This one works great, I have no issues with it. I fill it about a quarter and light it with my propane torch and it burns for about 2hrs. If I'm doing a longer smoke I'll fill it more. I find that starting it with the torch and letting it burn for about 5 minutes is enough to get the coals going, and by the time I'm done with my food there's nothing but ash in the tube.

Must have if you want deeper smoke! But also buy a torch to light it with trust me and will thank me lol… I use it every time as an add it with my smokers!

The product works as advertised, I bought the tube only. It took a couple minutes to get it lit and smoking. The first attempt was unsuccessful at keeping it lit but it smoked for several hours after lighting it again. I used this in a cabinet smoker and caution that you cannot place this directly under the food, it puts off a lot of heat and will overcook and burn the meat; lesson learned. Other than that it works great and adds smoke flavor to your bbq.

I switched from a vertical smoker to a pellet smoker and found the smoked flavor to be much less, probably because the pellets burn so clean. I've been using this on several different meats and am very pleased with the results. It's easy to fill and light and adds a lot of smoke flavor to the food. Just what I wanted. I just bought my second tube for longer smokes like Boston Butt. They last 4-6 hours and then I can light another and swap them out. I usually layer my fills with an inch or so of pellets, then a couple of inches of wood chips, then pellets, etc etc until they're filled with the last layer being pellets. They've burned completely to the end and don't go out. One note, you have GOT to have a butane or propane torch to get it going. Matches won't get it done. Point the torch flame right into the pellets and hold it there for 15 to 30 seconds. Repeat if necessary. Once you get the flame burning like a candle, let it burn for 5-10 minutes then blow it out to smolder. Then you can transfer it into your smoker. Easy peasy. 5 stars, definitely recommend!
