The measurements on the site are way off. No waist size to get proper fit

We had to modify this costume because the straps on the Hakama were uneven. You can see in the pictures one side of the strap barely made it after tying a knot. We ended up using the black checkered sash to cover the Hakama straps and ended up using the white scarf to replace the sash. You can tell in this picture my son's not too excited about it (because of his slouch) but I didn't want to bother getting a replacement and not getting it in time before Halloween. You can also see in one of the pictures that the thread is coming off in one side of the straps. Again, not a deal breaker, but it's unfortunate.My son really wants to be a Samurai for Halloween and for the price this one was the best option. The other costumes were either too expensive or would come after Halloween, so for now this will do. My son is about 5'6" tall and we got the XL.

So I ordered the XXL version (blue/gray) ... I normally wear a L or XL in US sizes depending on the brand. The hakama are kind of large - baggy even - and the top is slightly small for my size (maybe a "M" in US brands?) NEVERTHELESS, I plan to lose some belly and the top should fit after that, and I can alter the pants to fit better. FINAL RATING: FOUR STARS because the quality of the fabrics and stitching is SO amazing that I am willing to overcome the size issues - including losing a few pounds! Jump - you'll be happy you did.

It looks exactly like what it looks like in the picture just by a size bigger than what you're used to and you'll be all good 👍

I ordered XXL the top was too small to close. The bottoms have straps meant for tying but the straps were too short. I think they have only one size that they just put different size labels on.

I ordered the red one.I am 175cm tall and I ordered XL size and I must say It fits perfectly for me. Material is very good too.Thank you.

I’m 5’10 235lbs husky and based on their sizing got XL (my normal sizing).THIS IS DEFINITELY USING ASIAN SIZING (meaning it would be a 3 or 4 XL for me)The top fit like a medium! Hakama (pants) fit like a normal sized hakama but the strap/belt is waaaaaay shorter than a normal one should be ( like a few feet short IMO) I think they want you to use the included Obi to tie over and secure which would work but it didn’t try it as I didn’t like the fitment.The length for the XL ‘pants’ was actually perfect.Overall, seems like I got a medium top and XL hakama.As a costume and for the price, I think it rates at least 3 Stars. It’s made very nicely and the fabric seems solid enough for what I was planning to use it for.I have to now piecemeal my costume together buying separate tops, bottoms, and obi.
