I bought this watch to replace my Samsung Galaxy 4 watch. The battery life is enormous. With normal use, it'll last maybe 2-3 weeks. I'm not that active of a person. I'm actually probably not the audience this watch is geared towards but I got it anyways bc I wanted a smart watch that would have a charge lasting more than a day. It does exactly what I want, lasts more than a day. Nice big display. I don't like that the display isn't super bright. However, I actually bought the Forerunner 965 to try out. The interfaces were almost the same, except the Forerunner was more beautiful. When I move my hand to look at the time though, bc the Fenix is a MIP display, it is truly always on. I can at least see it. The forerunner though would be off, sometimes wouldn't turn on unless I wiggles my wrist a smidge. It's something little, I know. But, for my needs (I work in a hospital, sometimes get blood or other patient biohazardous fluids on it during procedures), it works great. I can wash it very very thoroughly. If it can survive 5ATM of pressure it can definitely handle a thorough cleaning. The band that came with it is nice. I usually losen it one or two notches overnight. The sleep tracking, which is not the primary purpose of the watch, is pretty good. I think my old Fitbit Charge 3 was more accurate for sleep timings than Samsung Galaxy 4.... And that was more accurate than the Fenix. But overall, good enough for my needs. It doesn't keep track of naps though. Supposedly there is an update coming soon to fix that. The brightness could be better BUT in direct sunlight I can definitely read it. The built in flashlight is clutch. I love that feature. I don't remember the Forerunner 965 having it but I tried both simultaneously for a week and might have just forgotten. Location is extremely accurate for me. No issues. I only used it near my house. Primarily to track my location to send to wife in case of medical emergencies while walking. Very very happy with it. Again, my use case is slightly different than the typical for the audience this is meant for. I'm not a health fanatic. Just an average person. I walk maybe 2-3 miles a day. I don't go on mountain trails that often. I don't go biking. So I can't really comment on that stuff.

This is my first garmin watch and I have literally nothing bad to say about it. I would highly recommend grabbing one if you are on the fence and can find it on sale. It has been fantastic. I have had an apple watch in the past, and to me it was just a bit too gimmicky for what I use. I used to just use a basic timex expedition for my daily wear watch until I got this fenix 7 pro saphire solar. The watch looks great, everything feels smooth and no lag, and even on the smaller size that I got I have no problems reading everything on it. The original band fit fine and is a great band for the water, but I swapped mine for a leather band for comfort at night. The sleep tracking has been awesome for me, and pretty accurate in depicting my body battery for the day. You can get notifications from basically anything, but I just set mine for texts and calls. You can’t respond like an apple watch, but I don’t mind that at all. My watch is my watch, not my phone. Overall just a great purchase for me. I thought the LED light would be useless but I find myself using the red light basically every day/night to get around my house, and the white light is pretty much as bright as my phone light which is nice for quickly lighting something close up. Battery is great too. With my settings I get about 14 days of use before I need to charge it. The great thing is that I can just throw it on the charger when I take a shower and by the time I am done it is mostly charged again. The health tracking is a cool feature as well, though I don’t use it intensively, it is nice for quick heart rate estimates and calorie count.

Coming from as an Apple Watch user, I have to say the battery life is great!!! It lasts me more than a week with everyday workout routines. It also integrates with the iPhone well software wise, which makes it more than convenience. Even though, it does not come with fancy watch faces like the Apple Watch, but it can be purchase through the Garmin application store which I did and I very much enjoying the display (shown below). There are a few simple watch face selections which come with the watch and they are easy and viewable. It also has its own messaging app but I preferably using the iPhone app which communicates thru the Fenix by Bluetooth. Highly recommended for any outdoor enthusiasts.

Extremely happy with this watch, which I chose over the Garmin Fenix 8 and the Apple Watch. I love the MIP display, versus the glowing-orb look of Apple watches and the Amoled display of the Fenix 8. I see it just fine in daytime, and can just tap to see it at night. The functionality runs deep—so many features—but I particularly like the built-in flashlight, which I use constantly, and the long battery life. I get at least a week from a charge, and I use it for workouts every day. This proves to me that the latest and greatest is not always the best choice. I couldn't be happier with the Fenix 7.

Wonderful watch. Easy intial setup with Garmin Connect. Navigating the buttons and touch control is very fluid. My only gripe is the max brightness level indoors. It is dim for my liking, but getting used to it. This is likely from being spoiled by amoled displays. It is a bit shocking at first and a bit disappointing so I almost dinged it a star. This should be considered before buying MIP displayed watch. Outside it transformed into a very usable and normal viewing. A concern of mine was size of the watch on my wrist. Think of a Rolex Submariner or GMT at 42mm, and it historically has been considered the perfect size for a sports watch. More recently, watches have ballooned in size, and I worried 47mm is pushing it to an extreme. On my wrist, it was just right for my flattish 8.25 inch wrist. Definatly would not go to 51mm, given my age and body type. A younger, more athletic person might pull it off without being an uncomfortable size and looking comical. Loading maps from AllTrails has been easy. There are layers of complexity and more watch than most can ever use. I write down the function buttons used to help remind me how to navigate the watch. Saved some money vs the Fenix 8 and put it into a chest heart rate monitor to get more detailed analytics. Try on first if you can and take a good look at the display. Or just play it safe and get amoled.

Between mechanical watches and G shocks, I love'm all! I picked up this Garmin Fenix 7 Pro Sapphire Solar, and I can't say enough good stuff about it! Such an amazing compliment to my A.M. weight training, running, walking, stair climbing, swimming, bicycling. I really dig how quickly gps locks on, and you can find your way out of anywhere. The Sapphire glass is awesome for its scratch resistance, you'll likely never scratch it. The Sapphire is the best for eliminating sun glare, almost a much for an watch. The MIP display so ideal. The brighter the sun, the better it looks. Not to mention the battery life, that separates it from competitors. You just have to experience this to understand. You could set it up for 57 days, but that's with a throttled back set up. With all features running, you still get about 15days. Honestly I'm having a hard time ever taking it off, which leads me to sleep monitoring. Garmin does this so well, and it's fun checking into all the ways it tracks my down time. I will say, if your wanting to order a garmin Fenix, get the right mm size for your wrist. The 51mm is a bit much for me, but I like the look of the 47mm. If you have small wrists, check out the fenix 7s. Might as well be comfortable with the fit, if its hardy ever coming off your wrists lol.

I brought the Garmin Fenix 7 Pro Sapphire Solar with me on a trip to Yellowstone, and it ended up being one of the best pieces of gear I packed. I mainly got it for hiking, trail running, and general fitness tracking, and it completely delivered. The solar charging was awesome. I spent long days outside in full sun and never once had to think about plugging it in. Battery life is seriously impressive. I also didn’t think I’d use the built-in flashlight much, but it actually came in handy a few times, in the tent at night and digging through my pack when it got dark. The watch is rugged and solid. I scraped it on rocks a couple times while hiking, and the sapphire screen didn’t even get a scratch. GPS was super accurate, and having maps right on my wrist made navigating way easier than pulling out my phone. Even the heart rate and sleep tracking seemed surprisingly accurate. If I had to nitpick, the watch is a bit chunky, not a big deal, just something to be aware of. And the interface takes a little getting used to at first, but once you learn it, it’s smooth sailing. If you spend a lot of time outdoors or just want a tough, feature-packed fitness watch, this one’s absolutely worth it.

I bought this intending it to be a replacement for my fenix 5X. After one day, I'm returning it and ordering a new (old) 5X, which seems to be the last of the fenix models that possesses actual useful features. In the first place: Most of the watch faces do not allow calorie burn to be selected as a display widget. Why this could possibly be the case, when calorie tracking is one of the most valuable features of the Garmin, I have no idea. (Apparently, beginning with the fenix 6, the developers got lazy and didn't code in [or confirm their bots had coded in] all the data options for all the display designs, and no one cared enough to fix it.) I do not want to need to swipe up or open the Connect app every time I want to check my caloric expenditure; and I don't think you do, either. There are two ways to circumvent this design flaw: (1) Systematically select each watch face option and go through the setup to see whether it has calorie burn as a display feature, and end up with a display that you don't like but that will tell you how many calories you've burned; or (2) Download the Connect IQ app, wait 10 minutes for the FaceTime feature to load (...every time), and create a customizable watch face that only gives you a few options per setting, none of which are particularly appealing. Then you can select three features to display—not four, which the fenix 5X permits—and spend another half hour getting them positioned appropriately on the screen, since you need to move them around manually and the second you lift your finger the widget shifts a few millimeters to the left. If you're an athlete, this is already not worth your time or your money. But if you aren't an athlete and are just looking for a wearable that will tell time and track your activity, could this be the right (albeit overpriced) unit for you? Still no: It doesn't tell time. That's right—the second hand on the watch display just freezes and disappears unless you press a button to "wake" it, which then promptly takes you to another screen. So, good luck tracking units of time lower than one minute, which seems like a fairly important capability for most physical activities. Good luck tracking actual minutes either, as a matter of fact: Most of the analog displays lack minute and even hour tick-marks, so you just sort of have to go off of fractions and vibes to guess what time it is. You couldn't pay me $800 to keep this thing.

Fenix 7 is it amazing watch. If you’re looking for an apple type watch, this is not it. This watch is made for athletes, outdoorsman and it’s functionality shows that purpose. The watches general design is not bad at all, and the solar actually works quite well helping to extend the battery life.

Original product with the best price! MIP display takes getting used to especially coming from Apple watch. There are no auto-detect workouts like Apple, which I was used to, overall an excellent product and very expansive.

The watch is excellent and has a balanced weight that makes u feel u r watching a genuine watch, but I sleep with a forerunner, this could be a bit heavy while sleeping, but this provides what I want from
