A regular 13 amp plug is single phase. **Q: Hi, Is it noisy - would you have it in your living room? Does it keep room temperature stable without varying up and down too much. Is it good. thanks** A: It doesn't roar like a hairdryer, but has an obvious sound like a circulating fan. Personally, I don't use it in the living room but you could. We use it to heat a large attic space. It will provide a constant temperature but as it's a strong and sturdy heater you might find it giving out a lot of heat for a living room. What is the maximum temp this can be set too 114 degrees** A: I had to send the item back as it had an industrial plug on it so I couldn't use it.
