Dogs don't fight it! Worth it the money! Safe!
I will preface that I've only had this two days and she's only ridden in it twice, but my 5 lb Yorkie does not hate it! She is still nervous and getting used to the car seat, but the fact that she has not tried to jump out at all and is whining very little is amazing. You can tell she loves being up high enough to see out the windows and is still close to me. I love the firm frame and the versatility with the straps. I found it fits better in my Honda CRV to put the straps around the middle console lid long ways instead of around the lid and the door closes great. With the seat straps attached the car seat is holding solid in place. I will say that I installed it backwards so that the security strap is at the back instead of the front. This way she can't jump out and try to get on my lap. Also, if I have to stop suddenly she won't be able to fly forward. It's working amazingly. Maybe a thought for the next model. If I had to say anything negative it might be that when the side straps are attached to either seats head rest you can't lay the seat back, but ee'll get used to it. So throw in a couple blankets and a harness on the dog and you are good to go! Worth every penny!

Pug needs a puggier size!
I purchased the bigger size for an upcoming beach trip. When I was looking through all of the reviews, I hadn’t seen anyone with a pug, but did see a few of equivalent size dogs… What ultimately sold me was the bar that goes around the top. For my pug Colbyn, he likes to sit up tall on the middle console, in between his Dad and I. The problem with that is, he sways a lot due to traffic and the ride in general. He’s definitely a chonker who also likes to cuddle and feel close to you. So I figured even if it was just a little small, he could still curl up snuggly, but I mainly wanted him to sit comfortable and not always feel unbalanced during a car ride. He loves to go riding and this will be quite a few hours in the vehicle. Upon purchasing, there was this amazing reviewer, who purchased both the big and small ones to compare in sizes (Thank You!!!). I realized with their review that both sizes were pretty much the same size length wise, the only difference is the bigger one was just a bit wider. I read the measurements for both and they are actually almost the same size.. The bar that goes across the rim, is pretty padded in my opinion and adequate enough to provide not only stability but comfort as well. There are small bars that will have to be assembled and Velcro in, you’ll see them on the sides to help keep it in an upright state. Then you will put the two pads down in it for pup to sit on and it’s set up within seconds.. Even has a pretty decent size front pocket for a phone, wallet, etc. There’s a little stretch in elastic to hook it around your middle console underneath, which is kind of nice so it can be made more universal while still being safe. Unfortunately, I will have to return because my pug is too chonkey for this seat. I hope one day they will make a bigger size because I’ve purchased quite a few different kinds of seats (foam, pillow version) and none of them even equal to how nice this one is. Even while carrying it, it will stay in basket form. It’s so nice, just a little too small and that’s on me for not checking the measurements more thoroughly vs. my pup! In the pictures I tried to also compare with a gallon water jug. My Pekingese was too big as well and could not fit. I’m so sad because this was definitely the seat I’d choose, but it’s my fault, not the sellers, for not looking more into the measurements. With this one you really have to. There’s no wiggle room like others.

Wish it had front cut out or it rolled down
Product is good. I have a 4lb chihuahua so it’s a good size. However, I wish the front folded down so she can see out while she lays down. She keeps wanting to sit up to see. It is sturdy. Kind of uncomfortable with it there. Seems crowded when driving. I bought it because when it is just us two in the car she sometimes cries in the backseat one. But I feel she likes the one in back because she can lay down and still see out since it has a cut out in the front for her to rest her head on.

Nice Console Pet Seat!
We love this pet car seat. We have a Honda Pilot with a pretty wide center (11") console. Our older dog recently passed away, leaving our 10-pound chihuahua mix alone in the backseat. He's a bit of a nervous nilly anyway and doesn't settle down quickly. We're planning a cross-country trip and thought this would be a good addition for our journey. The seat is basically a box. The interior is a little hard, it comes with a pee liner and a "fluffy" liner for the bottom. I plan to put a small blanket in to make it comfier. It was easy to set up. A little more challenging to secure. It comes with 3 exterior straps and 2 straps underneath to secure to the console top. There are multiple attachment points on the seat. For 2 straps I fed through the driver and passenger seats where the back meets the seat and hooked the strap to itself. For the third strap, I connected it to the back of the car seat and then to the passenger side head rest posts. Each strap can be tightened so the car seat doesn't move. There's an interior tether to secure to your pet's harness, so they don't go flying through the windshield if in an accident. There are straps to carry the seat, but we don't plan to do that...as I said it was a bit of a challenge to secure. You can still access the console with the seat installed. I'm happy with this purchase and recommend for a larger vehicle console. Be sure to measure your console and pet.

This is the best!
I travel with a yorkie, and I've bought her several car seats over the years. The first couple versions had soft sides make of foam, and she wore those out in no time. This one is a rigid bucket-like structure, lined with soft furry fabric. She absolutely loves to sit in it, and I think she feels safe and comfortable. It's super easy to install on the lid of a console cabinet, and it holds firm, even with sudden stops. It has a little leash in it you can attach to their collar, but I don't, because I wouldn't want her tethered in an awkward manner in the event of an accident or sudden stop. The best part is that the bottom cushion is removable and washable, so I can keep it clean. That was not the case with the earlier versions I bought.

Love this carrier
I have a Nissan Rogue Sport and this actually doesn't fit between the two front seats all that well. It does fit enough so that I can use it as I have a small Chiweenie that weighs about 8 pounds. My dog absolutely LOVES it. She can finally see what is going on as we travel and she is very attentive to everything she sees. Setting it up with the frame and pillows was fairly easy. The hard part was getting the security straps around the headrest poles. I did eventually get it, but it wasn't that easy for me. There is not much room to work in and the straps didn't quite reach the first time. I found it easier to climb into the back seat and work from back there until I got the straps the right length. I ordered the most narrow carrier, I believe it is 7 inches wide, and I actually could have used something closer to 6 inches. The scrunch kind of bows up the pillow so that it doesn't sit properly, but once I put the dog in, her weight gets it back in the right place. I would recommend that you measure the space between the seats at its most narrow place right above the center console. If you have 6 inches or less, this may not be the right product for you. I still love it and I don't regret buying it even if it is a little tight on the fitting. My dog enjoys the ride now and can sit still while watching all the activity around us. I used to worry that she would fall out of the car seat that I had before because she was always jumping up trying to see out the window. I highly recommend these console carriers because it also puts them a little more out of the direct line of fire on the airbags; it won't be a direct hit now and I like that.

Not free return
Works well enough. My center console is not raised so I used styrofoam covers as support bar. Easy to assemble. Color is good , also good size. I didn't notice about return. It’s not free unless I take to a whole food store. Which I do not have access too in my area.

Safety first.
Sturdy and fits between the seats in my Tiguan. Dog looking out. Safe in the center of vehicle and you have fig near you.

Broken
This item came broken and had a long shipping time. I am returning but that’s also been a hassle. Wouldn’t recommend
