To start, I apologize to the company for not leaving my review last year. I had some unexpected surgery that I had to deal with.I bought their original pruner from the company last April. There's a spring inside the handle that allows these cutters to work as stated. About 45 days after I bought them, that spring went missing and I have no idea what happened to it, as I didnt drop the cutters or anything like that and I dont abuse my tools.I like the tool (as well as the concept) and I needed to use them again. My mother bought me a similar pair from some company on QVC about 35 years ago. THAT pair is finally starting to show its age and break down. So I wanted another pair.Back to the story....So about 3 or 4 months after I saw that they broke, I contacted the company to explain what happened. All I wanted was that spring, and since it was well beyond the warranty, I expected to pay for it.Gerossi’s customer service was wonderful to speak with, and they offered to replace the (entire) pruners even though the Amazon 30-day warranty had expired.These Gerossi ratcheting pruners work just as well as the much more expensive pair of ratcheting pruners that I received a long time ago. These Gerossi pruners are very well built, and are every bit as comfortable and easy to use.After I received the replacement pair of pruners, I put them to work and they worked perfectly. Even with an arthritic right thumb, these ratchet pruning shears made cutting through 3/4” thick, dried-out branches painlessly easy.These pruners and the seller are both excellent. Over this last year or so, I've already recommend both to a friend and will do it again. And I won’t hesitate to make future purchases from this seller.

I love these pruning shears!! They have made trimming my trees and bushes so much easier, plus I noticed that my hands do not hurt after trimming a lot of trees. I was perfectly fine the next day with no aches or pain in my hands. I was able to get everything done in one day, 13 crepe myrtles and 11 magnolias, and the blade is still sharp. I would definitely recommend these shears to anyone.

The price was totally right for a ratchet pruning shears...it switches from non' ratchet to regular pruning shears...a bonus done with a simple button switch. Very satisfied with with the quality...works very well on small limbs and shrubs.

Lightweight in your hand, but very heavy duty with an extremely sharp and durable blade.I removed two large branches out of an elm tree and between the single action and the ratcheting action of these shears, it made very short work out of cutting up all of the brush to dispose. The blade locking switch and the selector switch are on both sides of this shear, making this tool ambidextrous and comfortable to use in either hand. Some of the negative comments in the reviews about this shear are pure nonsense after purchasing and using this tool.

Bought these to cut dog treats in half. I had been using a small branch saw but realized something like this might work too. I settled on this pair because of the ratcheting feature and so far they've worked well for all my treat cutting needs. I've used them a couple of times without the ratchet and and they've worked fine. They open up pretty wide and I like that they lock closed for storage and I can hang them by the included lanyard. For the price they don't feel cheap but they also aren't as beefy feeling as some of the more expensive brands.

I was pleased with the dual function clipping/ratchet modes. I used both when I trimmed a small maple tree. The little red selector made it easy to switch back and forth. The price versus other ratchet pruners is quite reasonable. Its handling was easy and it definitely was not tiring to use. The design seems to very sturdy and the blade is sharp. It was a quality buy for me!

Not your typical use for pruners, but we are homesteading and get creative sometimes. We are using these to help with our chicken and rabbit butchering. These go through the bone very nicely. We have been struggling to find something that would cut through with little effort. Have only needed the ratcheting aspect of them a few times, but it is nice to have available when we do need it. Very sharp, nice leverage and great grip.

We bought this to help clear our yard of blackberries. It works intuitivly, and exactly like you would expect. It was SUPER easy to cut large roots. All in all, well worth the money, even when you add in the import fee to Canada.

I have weak hands but love gardening. The design of this tool makes this a very powerful cutter with little effort. Does what it says

I bought this item as it was advertised as easy to use, strong and suitable for seniors. These secateurs are no different to any cheaper pair. Disappointed.
