So far, so good!
They started out slowly but that was expected due to soil conditions. After the application of several soil amendments they took off and are rapidly growing. It's too early for them to bloom and produce pods but I am confident that they will perform satisfactorily. Edit:It's May 23rd, 2026. Yesterday I had my first bloom! One thing I can say about winged beans is you have to be patient. They start out slowly. I planted them on the same day as some blue lake green beans which I have been harvesting for about six weeks already. Almost 5 months and they are just starting to bloom. This is fine with me as I am in Hawaii and they are perennial in this climate. I don't think they would be suitable for a colder climate with a short season.

Growing well
Growing in my patio garden, Iโve got 2 bean pods so farโฆ..looking forward to more! Taste pretty good raw.

Fast growers.
Didn't have a high germination rate but the plants themselves grow fast and large so it wasn't necessary.

No sprouting
I had high hopes of beginning a high protein sprout crop but after 24 hrs. soaking then 5 days growing time I have just the beans I started with.

A bit pricy
The all seed germinated, it took a while to grow thou, i got flowers but it never became a vegetable, its a bit pricy but ive been missing this vegetables so i bought is hoping to get fruit/ vegetable out of it. May be its just how i planted it and the location ill try again and updated this review.
