Otsuka Calorie Mate Balanced Food Plain 2.82oz/80g (2pack)

I’m a college student and sometimes I don’t have time to eat due to having many classes one after the other. I thought that these were pretty good especially because they are nutritional. I ate some every time I felt hungry or if my stomach was growling (sometimes I don’t feel hungry but my stomach wants food 🤗).To those who are purchasing these for the first time, I just want to let you know that these are not suited for everyone’s taste (my twin brother didn’t like them) and they are pretty dry. I usually drink water after I eat them, but I still like them.

Pros:-Very conveniently sized; one box has a few small squares that are wrapped two at a time-Tastes great, but I would call it apple flavored instead of plain. Flavor reminds me of like an apple Nutri-Grain-Dense and packed with calories, definitely designed to be an on-the-go foodCons:-Drier than Snake's dialogue, make sure you have a drink nearby (I'd recommend milk)All in all a great product, and I can't wait to try the other flavors. To sum it up with a quote - "That's damn good"

I'd personally wanted to try this ever since I was 12 and watching trigun after school. It's genuinely good, this one is a bit flakier than the other flavors and can be a bit messy. I would describe the flavor as "nutty apple, with a hint of cheese" While that might sound a bit strange, I assure you that it tastes very good. For the Price, considering it's imported it's a fun treat and I might get them again. however I could probably get a fruit and nutbar 12 pack, which certainly puts a damper on it the measly four pack.If you want to try a little part of japan, these won't disappoint, but for it's value there are similar products.

I use these with a meal replacement and they seem to work out just fine!It does leave your mouth feeling dry and you need to drink a lot of water.Compared to a US Emergency ration bar, these are less sweet, a lot drier, but probably has slightly more nutrients.

if i were to describe the flavor, i guess it would be "apple pie crust". indeed it is plain pastry.

The taste is hit or miss depending on the person. I liked it alright, but my partner thought it tasted lousy.

These are an excellent contingency ration at desk/on-the-go in terms of convenience, fill, and balance. They do require plenty of fluid to wash down. Flavor and dryness may require some acclimatization but fully expected and am not disappointed. Find these preferable to dense and syrupy/sticky energy bars more common in the US.Have regularly picked these up while traveling through Japan and am glad to have an option for sourcing them whilst back in the US.

As expected for something I saw in Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. Would be nice in a pinch.

I used to eat this as snack in Japan, taste like short bread. Energy bars sold in Canada usually with nuts and very sweet, but this is not much sweet. Be aware that they use almond powder, though. If you choose free shipping, it took one month to arrive from Japan.

生産終了したプレーン味を店頭で買うことが出来ないため、こちらで購入しました。間違いなく正規品なのですが、賞味期限が短くて困りました。賞味期限が4ヶ月後でしたが、生産終了しているため短いのであればそれを商品説明に記載しておいて欲しかったです。

プレーン味が販売終了して急いで買いました。プレーン味が一番好きなので悲しいですがここで買えてよかったです

2022年10月30日に届いた物の賞味期限が2022年12月ってどういうこと？10個パックやで？非常に残念です。
