I bought some from another vendor that had the air sucked out of the bag and the foam in an unusable shape.** A: The air was sucked out of this product as well but I used it with no problem. One thing I did notice was it actually shrank a small amount after about a week. **Q: Pick and pluck to accommodate use?** A: These are not pick and plunk design. They are solid sheets of foam. **Q: can they be used for outdoor vent plugs for winter?** A: I wouldn't use them for that. These are open cell and will hold moisture like a Sponge. **Q: How many sheets does it come with?** A: 6 pieces as indicated in the description, right after the brand "DECOHS".
