Pride and Prejudice (Macmillan Collector's Library) Paperback – August 15, 2023

I got the abridged version due to my inadequacy with reading old English but I LOVED this version! Personalities and families and love. I was sorry when it ended

I love this translation of Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen! No longer am I bewildered by the 19th century British pride. With this translation, I can finally enjoy reading Austen’s classic novel. It’s so nice!

My husband got me this for Christmas and I absolutely love it. Pride and prejudice is my favorite book and this is absolutely hilarious XD

Beautiful writing. So glad I finally read it. What a different world we live in-the language was difficult to follow at times, but well worth the effort to get an understanding of the civility and formality between men an woman.

The quick version of the actual book.I think it captures the main points and story.Very pretty art work.

No where in the description does it state this is an abridged version. Was very disappointed in this heavily edited version - someone took an indiscriminate delete key to the text, created a cover vaguely reminiscent of the movie, and posted. The person that edited this version not only has a heavy hand, but they have no sense of humor. My assumption is they are just trying to make money. Skip this version in favor of the unabridged versions.
