The Peloton is a Life-Changer!
This is an honest review of the Peloton bike based on my experience after having it for 8 months. Pros: - High Quality and Durable - The Peloton is a very high-quality piece of exercise equipment. It is sturdy and durable from sweat. It also takes a beating in daily use, due to the weight of the user, the wheel, and the screen. I’m usually drenched in sweat after riding mine, and somehow it holds up day after day. - Culture - I like the culture and community in that you’re on a bike with people from all over the world working to be healthy while competing with each other in the leader board. - Daily Content + Reinforced Positivity - The daily content from instructors is not only engaging but also motivating and inspiring. I would say I did not expect it to have the positive effect on my mental health that it has had, which has been tremendous. Overall, I think they’ve made it engaging and addictive, which speaks to my inner gym rat. - Convenience - Owning a Peloton is like having a gym membership at your house that is always open. It makes it very easy to commit an hour a day (or less), which for me over 8 months has led to losing 30lbs! - Variety of Content - I also really like all of the options for content, whether it be music-based rides at all different timed intervals, different themes such as endurance or tabata, their game lane-break which is a lot of fun and engaging, the scenic rides all over the planet, or the artist series geared towards specific musicians, there is always something new to try. - Bonus - Once a member, you can also download the Peloton app on your TV, log in, and do strength, meditation, or yoga classes as well. I added a TV to my gym for this very reason. Cons: - Price - the Peloton isn’t cheap, but neither is your healthcare. When you invest in yourself in something like this, it’s easy to see the difference between the Peloton and a standard stationary bike, which is night and day. Also, what is your health worth? You can pay for good health now at a discount. - Monthly Membership - This was my main reservation. Do I really want another gym membership? Would I use it enough to make it worth it? The answer after all this time has been a resounding, YES. I’ve joined plenty of gyms in my life, and I hate signing new contracts. Luckily, there is no contract here, but the price is $49 a month. What that fee goes to is supporting so much on the platform from all of the instructors, to the design, build, manufacturing, corporate management, etc., that honestly, this may be the one gym I feel good about paying for. I’m paying for the platform to continue to be great. - Peloton Accessory Prices - I would say Peloton is on the more expensive side for accessories and clothing in addition to the bike. Overall, I had my doubts and had to think about it for a few months before I bought my Peloton, but I’m so glad I did. 8 months later, the Peloton has had a huge impact on my life, both physically and mentally.

This makes it very easy to stay consistent and track workouts.
I finally took the leap during Amazon Prime days. (First of all, the delivery and set up was absolutely seamless, and took about an hour. Plus they hauled all the boxes away. Wonderful. My communication with Amazon was easy and direct and the set-up folks absolutely knew what they were doing. ) What I've found, after setting my online presence to "private" is that the sheer variety of classes -- some as short as 5 minutes -- is a wonderful WFH break. Its pretty easy to commit to 20 minutes on the bike if all you have to do is put your shoes on and turn on the bike. So far, I've done bike workouts, walking (outside) workouts, weights and yoga. I have been a long time cyclist so I am comfortable with cleated shoes. There are lots and lots of after-market accessories for these bikes and I recommend a few: buy non-Peloton shoes for half-price. You can get them with cleats already installed for $55. You don't need $120 shoes for indoor cycling. Get a gel seat cover for a more comfortable ride. Get a small fan you can mount to your handlebars. And there are heartrate monitors for a more exact reading than your watch. Oddly, the Peloton monitor did not connect with the program, but a much cheaper monitor did. Connects just fine with my Samsung S25 phone and ring. The huge variety of instructors will almost guarantee that you'll find a good match, and the Peloton app has lots of other options for exercise, meditation, stretching, runs and weight classes. For all that, the app easily replaces my gym membership. For the shoes sceptics: it may take a few times to get used to clicking in and out of cleats, but they are really the best way to transfer power from your legs to the bike. They become intuitive quickly. ( Cleats transfer power on both the down stroke and the upstroke. Cages aren't as efficient, and "regular " shoes and pedals lose the upstroke power. You will get stronger using cleats ) A year later (July 2025): The bike itself is still working great and I still think this was one of the smartest purchases I made all last year. At 72, I'm never going to top a leader board but I can definitely see a difference from a year ago. And while I thought I would set the bike on a program and then just watch a movie on television, I still find the classes entertaining and motivating.

Do not buy from peloton website! Buy from Amazon!!!
First of all. What can I say about Amazon, you get it next day and don’t have to wait two-three weeks for delivery! I originally ordered it from the peloton website and they said it would take two weeks to get there. So I was mad. Waited a week and peloton website could not deliver it the next day. So I cancelled my order with peloton and went with Amazon. Amazon has next day shipping and a 90 day return policy instead of the 30 day pelotons own website offered. Make sure you select the very last option for delivery which is the professional delivery and assembly at a room of your choice option. Upon delivery, they followed my instructions perfectly and set up the bike In the room I wanted. They room out all the cardboard and were very nice and professional. They even put the custom Favero Assioma power meter pedals that I had ordered on. The bike was ready to go after updates. Performance: configuration of the bike was super easy once you look up how you do it on YouTube. You don’t need the calibration tool. Just do the 1/4 turns and follow the rest of the instructions. The favero duo pedals work very well with the peloton app once they are configured to. The fact that I can load up zwift on my iPhone and pair it with my new pedals on my peloton bike and it saves the settings is an A++ in my book. You do have to pay for the membership to start the bike, but it’s worth it. Not super noisy and not as big as I imagined it to be. One thing to note, if you want to use this for zwift it will not work on their monitor. You have to use an external iPhone or iPad and pair your power meter pedals to that. Then it will work. Overall Amazon is A+ love the bike and the quality. They need to go with another third party delivery service for their own website. It should not take 3 weeks to order from the official website.

Amazing indoor exercise during colder months in New England.
The Peloton Indoor Exercise Bike has truly transformed my fitness routine, and I couldn't be happier with my purchase. This bike is not just a piece of exercise equipment; it's a comprehensive fitness experience that has exceeded my expectations in every way. First and foremost, the build quality of the Peloton bike is exceptional. It feels sturdy and durable, providing a stable platform for intense workouts. The sleek design adds a touch of sophistication to my home gym, making it a focal point rather than an eyesore. The real standout feature of the Peloton bike is its interactive and immersive classes. The wide range of live and on-demand classes, led by motivating instructors, has kept me engaged and motivated. The variety of workouts, from high-energy spin classes to scenic rides, ensures that there's always something for every mood and fitness goal. The 22-inch HD touchscreen display is not only crystal clear but also user-friendly. Navigating through classes, tracking my metrics, and competing with friends have become integral parts of my workout routine. The integration with the Peloton app adds even more flexibility to my fitness journey. The bike's resistance levels are challenging yet adjustable, allowing me to tailor my workouts to my fitness level. The quiet and smooth operation make it a pleasure to use, even during early morning or late-night sessions without disturbing others. While the Peloton bike is an investment, I can confidently say that it's worth every penny. The community aspect, combined with the cutting-edge technology, has made my fitness journey more enjoyable and effective. If you're serious about your fitness goals and want a top-of-the-line exercise bike, the Peloton is the way to go. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to elevate their home workout experience. 🚴♂️💪

Mostly good. Subscription required
Overall the peloton bike is pretty nice. There is a bit more cheap plastic than I expected from a pricier spin bike (e.g., the adjustment handles), but you are primarily paying for the peloton class ecosystem, which is quite good. The subscription is on the more expensive side ($55/month). After a month of use, I’m mostly happy. It’s been great to have with a newborn at home for squeezing in some exercise. I also run strength classes on the screen sometimes, with a yoga mat set up on the side of the bike. The screen has good enough viewing angles that this works well most of the time. One note about the Amazon delivery… that did not go so well. I chose the room delivery because I was confident setting up a bike on my own. Amazon sent the bike on a generic moving truck with 2 workers that were not equipped to be moving the 150 lb+ bike. They were barely able to get the bike up the 5 stairs to my front door (with my help). I had them leave the box in my front entranceway, because there was ZERO chance of them getting it upstairs to the room I wanted it in. I have a feeling if it were purchased directly through peloton that their delivery/setup folks would be more prepared to deliver it.

So nice
This was totally worth it. I got it on sale for Black Friday, and I'd definitely wait for a sale since they have them throughout the year, but even at full price it's worth it. Amazon had drivers that could deliver and set it up for me. That was so nice. It works great. It's quite and smooth.... and when you do the classes, it'll kick your butt. I can definitely feel my legs are getting stronger. Somehow I'm gaining weight instead of losing like I was hoping for, but I know muscle weighs more than fat... I'm sure I'm gaining muscle in my legs. It'd only been about a month, but I'm on it almost every day and love it. My only complaint is the seat. It is so hard and narrow. I'm about 5'9" and 145lbs. The seat is miserable to sit on for extended times. Even with a gel seat cushion cover, it still hurts I have seen wide seats with a smaller nose on them, I may upgrade to one of those. I still say the bike is worth it though

Worthless without subscription
Just know if you buy this bike its pretty worthless without the 50$ a month subscription cost. Otherwise you get only a black screen with a few stats so its very boring to ride. Does not come with pedal covers if you don't have bike shoes its difficult to ride or you have to buy shoes, or covers. Ended up selling it in less than a month. OS is completely locked so you cannot cast, watch videos or anything on it only black screen with basic stats. Ended up getting a Matrix Fitness ICR50 for less, you can connect a chrome cast, phone, HDMI anything into it to use while working out, also supports ZWIFT cycling game which is insanely fun and addicting and a million times better at 14$ a month VS 50 for some boring Peloton videos. There is a reason Peloton is failing as a company 50$ a month after a large investment for the bike is ridiculous. Save your money and get something else unless you wanna pay 600$ a year on top of the bike just to have basic features and boring videos... 5 stars for build quality, the bike is nice but its more locked down than apple products, gotta pay to play when you already bought an overpriced bike.

Amazing all around!
I was debating buying a Peleton for a while, the cost was really holding me back. But, prime day come along and I got a $500 discount on this bike, so I snatched it up immediately. Refurbished bikes on their website are more expensive than what I paid. I'll be honest, I was concerned that it wasn't Peleton delivering it, as they also do the whole set up.. but amazon delivered it on time, the box wasn't damaged at all which was a relief. All the parts were inside the box neatly. Nothing was broken, everything was there. It took me around 2 hours or so to set up. The box has a home assembly kit with tools and all the screws you need (with a baggie of extras!) The setup was not hard at all, just time consuming. The build quality of the bike seems VERY solid also. It is quite a compact bike, I don't have a large amount of room in my apartment but the peleton fits very well. Overall, I'd say it was a great purchase! Although I'm not sure I'd spend the original price for it of $1845 CAD. If you're not in a rush but you want the Peleton, I'd definitely recommend waiting for another amazon prime day as the sale is just too good to pass up!

Best Purchase Ever
The Peloton is so worth it. Especially at the Black Friday price I got this for at $1370 + tax. Great for beginners/someone who needs guidance (me lol) and really helps you stay on track while having a great time. It is challenging - so don’t think this will be easy.. but you’ll feel amazing when you complete a class! Keep in mind there is a monthly subscription fee of $55 a month to be able to use these classes .. but do it you will love it!! Also— Amazon does not assemble this for you so make sure you have someone strong to help you. It is super heavy but very easy to put together

Remote area
I live in a remote area and Peleton is not able to deliver in our area. This year amazon started to deliver Peleton bikes in our area! Which is amazing (it is a 6 hour drive to get to a city where they sell them). Finally I pulled the trigger, and I am so happy I did! Delivery, but Amazon gave me a 175 dollar refund! Which was great. The box is very heavy had to take it apart in the kitchen to be able to carry it upstairs. Assembling the bike was easy and quick! Bike is sturdy on high carpet, and the screen is wonderful! I thought about buying a knock off version, but so happy I didn’t! The classes are fun and the bike is silent and easy to set to your preference! Happy with my purchase and will continue to ride, maybe one day I will buy a Peleton +

Amazing bike! Great program! But again, check delivery!
The bike is incredibly high quality! It arrived a few days late but should be expected as it was shipped with Ceva who then had to transfer to Gardewine to deliver in my small town. The box arrived with no visible damage and the bike was packed up neatly. I was expecting assembly as I had gotten the bike $400 off on Prime Days! It took about 1-2 hours to set up (very easy just time consuming) as most of the bike is already assembled. I had to install the pedals, handle bars, tablet, and legs. Once the bike was on, it guided me to create an account and then link my ICloud and Apple Music. It connects to my AirPods Pro 2’s very easily and the music is plenty loud (some reviews said AirPods don’t get loud). I open the Peloton app on my Apple Watch as well, and it automatically connects and shows my heart rate and zone on the tablet, quite cool! Over all I am very happy with my purchase. A little under $2000 CDN for the bike and 2 pairs of shoes with tax. I personally would not pay full price as the app is another $55/month to use the bike. However, I do believe if you are serious about getting fit and have trouble motivating yourself, just jump on the bike and select a program. If money is an issue you can always purchase the a cheaper bike and join the Peloton classes for $16.99 a month without the bike.

Worth every penny
I downloaded the peloton app to further my at home fitness journey with a goal of building muscle after significant weight loss. I told myself if I stayed consistent for a year I would treat myself to a peloton bike, which led me to this purchase. I've had the bike for almost 4 months and have used it faithfully 4-5 times a week for cycling, strength, pilates, yoga and stretching as the screen can be used for them all. I have been doing the recommended tune ups but don't find the pieces loosen much. I have my bike set up on a medium pile carpeted floor and don't have any issues. I love all the features of the peloton and how it integrates with my smart watch. Overall would highly recommend this bike to anybody wanting an at home piece of cardio equipment with an amazing platform for workouts. I love peloton, it changed the game for me and my health!
