Perfect replacement
After having a spring break on my old (30 year+ double garage door), this was a perfect replacement for my existing one. I counted the number of springs and measured and the old spring was exactly the same as the new one.Replacement was easy, remove the lower bolt held in with a split pin to remove the old spring. On mine the spring had failed at the top.Installation was simple, insert the screw threaded top hook into the main spring and replace the lower bolt to secure into place.The only thing I had to do to enable the spring to operate fully was to grind a little of the top hook off, so that it would allow the door to close fully.Overall, a great replacement for my original spring. It's recommended to replace both at once, but my new and old spring are currently working perfectly.

Perfect match for the old Mk2 Ulta 225 spring
I needed to use a junior hack saw and a file to remove a few mm from the end of the hook on the bolt, so that it would clear the garage door struts when closing. Once fitted and tightened to match the old spring on the other side, the garage door worked perfectly again. This spring was a perfect match for the broken one and I will be happy to purchase again if I have the other old spring break. I hope that this review helps someone.
