Honestly, this kit is incredible. I managed to pick up a lovely burgundy Chesterfield sofa in reasonably good condition and a pair of Mk2 Audi seats to be retrofitted into my T4 van. The Audi seats were in a pretty poor condition with a rip on the passenger seat and heavy discolouration on the drivers one. With the kit, I simply used the repair glue and the patch to stick the rip back together and then used a thin sliver of filler to touch up the area. I then hit both seats with two coats of black and the end result was incredible. The seats were a lovely deep black, all discolouration on the bolsters, etc was covered and they retained their vintage character. I was so impressed with the kit that I then immediately bought a second one for the Chesterfield. Being that this one was a red/oxblood colour I knew I would have to work a bit harder to get a good colour match. Thankfully, only 2 of the 3 cushions had wear on them so I spent a few minutes just touching up any rough areas with filler, sanding them down and preparing them. I then got to work mixing up some colour, I would say it took me roughly 30 to 45 minutes to get a near perfect match. Because I knew I was going to do all of the cushions I tipped the entire pot of red paint onto a plate and made my mix this way, I then made a small pot of violet and slowly added this to the red to get a more burgundy colour. Once I was happy I got to work covering both of the rough pillows in 2 coats and just about had enough for the last pillow to get one decent coat on it. I didn’t need to worry too much about the last cushion because it was near perfect anyway, but I still wanted to try and get all 3 cushions to be identical in colour. Once again, when I was finished the results were incredible. All 3 cushions looked incredible and the sofa now looks borderline new with enough subtle wear to evoke its vintage charm. Honestly, if you need to repair a sofa cushion, car seat or anything else that’s leather, get this kit! The only thing I will say is, remember that this is predominantly a “repair” kit so if you’re needing to recolour a whole sofa or want to do what I did and repair and redye a significant amount of items, you may run out of of colour! With black it’s not so bad since that you don’t really need to mix that and there is plenty of it, hence why I could do both of my car seats from top of bottom easily. I think the pictures speak for themselves!

All the stuff is there. Good for repairing small areas. You’ll need a lot more filler and paint if you are covering large areas of leather sofa.

This product is amazing. After purchasing I panicked thinking I would need a finishing/sealer product but it’s included in the colour providing you don’t have a gloss finish leather. I used this to cover where the leather had worn and cracked to show a dark colour underneath. I used the filler to fill the cracks and dried each thin coat with a hairdryer as I’m impatient and I had children that would come home and climb all over it! I was able to fill and colour on the same day. Mixing the colour to the exact colour of the leather is a challenge! I used the enclosed paper pot included and watched as the entire contents drained from it, all over the sofa, as it became soggy and I managed to puncture a hole in it. I’d recommend mixing in a plastic container if you have one. I have zero experience and this was a seamless repair. The finish matches my sofa and the texture of the leather wasn’t lost in the process. If in doubt I think the company offer a colour matching service and there are tutorials you can follow online for a step by step. It comes with paper instructions to follow. I purchased beige. I can also confirm it withstands the normal wear and tear that a sofa does and doesn’t transfer colour to clothing.

The kit had good instructions and everything you needed for a leather repair but…..the products were so small it was a bit laughable. The sandpaper and backing materials are quite honestly one inch squares and the filler and glue are smaller than a lipstick tube. The deglazer (at least I think it was meant to be deglaze they called it prep wipe) was the size of one wet wipe. You could not obviously, reuse it for a second repair. All perfectly good products to be fair but miniatures. I needed to do an essential leather repair that very morning or I would have returned this. So, mixed review. If you need to do only one or two repairs this is decent because it saves you the cost and hassle of ensuring you have everything. If you repair leather regularly this is not the right product for you. Buy the full sizes.

When I ordered this kit I was sceptical of both how much difference the kit could do, and my own ability to use it. After using it I was amazed at just how easy it was and how good a job it did. It has changed my chair from looking worn and tired to a true vintage style.

Just been quoted £200 to refurbish the arms on my Queen Anne red leather chair. Saw a video on u tube on how to do it yourself and found this kit on Amazon for £25 so thought I’d have a go. Wasn’t impressed when it arrived didn’t seem much in the kit and it’s a big chair. The filler tube was half full I thought someone had used it before but it was still sealed so guess you only get half a tube so even more disappointed but hey ho carry on I half followed the minimal instructions and half followed u tube. For what I needed there was ample filler for the scuffs and wear. Then came the dye the colour chart is as much use as an ashtray on a motorbike and the mixing instructions were as clear as mud so I dived in using my own concoction at first not deep enough then to dark then as near as dammit so I went with it and was very very pleased with the outcome the chair looks great as good as new saved £165 WOW I don’t know if it will last that’s only to be seen over the coming days and months my friend saw the before and after and he is really impressed with the results and so am I. I spent less than two hours on the job over a period of 24 hours leaving things to dry naturally wish I took a photo prior to starting but I’ll try and post one after the work. I’ve never taken on a task like this but I will generally have a go at anything being a bit handy and I’m truly impressed with myself this time the arm ends were really scuffed using them to force yourself up when standing and creases in the arms but the filler worked well and the colour came good in the end but you’ve got to get into the dabbing method wiping it on is no good and I’ve still got loads of the kit left really surprising how far it goes don’t put the filler on to thick in one go numerous thin coats makes a better job than one thick one putting on to thick it only peels off like a rubber glue sand the thin coats lightly and add more filler till it’s feels smooth or ring me and I’ll do it for £200 well recommend this product

Ok, so we've a significant tear in the sofa, caused by leather fatigue (we've not conditionned it for years), so I'm never expected an invisible repair on something so significant. I followed the instructions but be careful using a hairdryer to speed up drying process as recommended, I could see shrinkage from both the filler and the leather itself. So had to be patient and allow to dry. A couple of attempts to get the area smooth and cover small cracks in the region. Then used the sand paper provided. That was too course and started to pull up the filler (need to used more filler to correct it), I had some p3000 wet/day fine sand paper. This was much better, again patients needed but managed to get it smooth. The colour mixing and matching incredibly difficult on a tan sofa like ours where you have light and dark tan colours everywhere and the leather is super absorbent. The colour mix is very uniform, tried to change the hue with the tints provided to blend it in better but without success. So repair area is obvious. End result isn't bad compared to the initial tear, if the sofa base colour was uniform the end results would have been much better. The photos speak for themselves! Overall not bad, will end up covering it with a throw but hopefully the repair will give us time to save for a new sofa.

Excellent product. Followed the instructions and applied as advised. I cannot see where the damage was. I would highly recommend this product.

Buen producto, funciona bien, es cierto que las instrucciones no son claras y tienes que ir tirando de lógica, pero al final se hace, no hay que ser ingeniero, además con el mismo kit tienes para varias veces. Recomendado.

Efficace! Un po’ dispendioso rispetto ad altri, ma devo ammettere che mi ha stupito. Dopo circa un mesa dalla riparazione di un vecchio taglio di circa 5 cm tiene molto bene, il taglio non si nota più. Questo è il pregio maggiore. Unico difettuccio è che la riparazione distendendosi con l’uso mostra un po’ di materia chiara sottostante, ma la cosa è facilmente risolvibile tingendo con l’abbondante colore disponibile. Riconosco che occorre una certa manualità artigianale per utilizzare al meglio il kit, ma se si è un po scaltri i risultati sono decisamente professionali. Unica vera criticità riscontrabile è la difficoltà a trovare l’esatta sfumatura di colore per la tinta, alla fine sulla mia nonostante le tabelle di colore è risultato appena più scuro del nero di base ma effettivamente è difficile che si noti. La quantità è abbondante per varie riparazioni, a me non serve e spero che una volta aperti i flaconi le sostanze rimangano attive a lungo. Come giudizio generale 5 stelle mi sembrano meritate, lo riacquisterei di nuovo.

Absolute Empfehlung für Menschen mit Geduld und Fingerfertigkeit. Es ist wirklich nicht leicht. Vorallem den richtigen Farbton zu finden. Man darf auch keine Wunder erwarten aber für mich hat es den Zweck absolut erfüllt. Ich brauchte aber für 5,5 Flächen 2 Sets und 1x extra heavy filler. Einziger Kritikpunkt: das Töpfchen zum farbe mischen ist zu klein und ist mir zerrissen und die ganze farbe rausgegangen. Das war ärgerlich! Die Haltbarkeit kann ich noch nicht beurteilen. Ich berichte wenn Katze und springendes Kind gewonnen haben!! Habe bereits das Set meiner Sis weiterempfohlen! Ich habe vorher und nachher bilder mit angefügt.
