High potassium with great taste
I’m in my 50’s and have been using the regular Dr. Berg’s Electrolyte Powder on and off since 2020. I was looking for increased potassium to help stop my night time leg cramps and it worked. I’ve since been running about 5-6 miles maybe 4 or 5 times a week in the very humid North Texas summers – always in the morning but it really doesn’t matter as the “feels like” temp is still 90. I sweat a lot to the point where it stings my eyes. LMNT has been getting a lot of publicity so I did a little research and found this as an alternative for increased sodium while still getting much higher potassium. I’m not sure I really need the sodium but figured I’d give it a try. Here are my thoughts: • This dissolves about the same as the regular stuff, which is not bad. I start with about 2 ounces of instant hot water and stir. Then I fill the remainder with cold water – about 20 ounces total. It generally dissolves just fine. This does have a slightly salty taste but not bad in my opinion. I can’t believe people who complain about a salt taste when it has high sodium in it – duh… • I tried adding a ¼ TSP of pink salt to the regular stuff. It tastes about the same, which is good to me. I’m not sure if that’s the only difference in ingredients and one is sold loose in a jar with minimal salt and the other in individual (more expensive) packs with a higher dosage. • I do not drink this while running – only water as I’m done within an hour. I might try it in the fall when it’s cooler and I’m running 2+ hours, but for now it’s after a run or in the evening. It’s early in my experiment but I’m not seeing a difference with the higher sodium. However, I also don’t monitor my intake on that front so I really don’t know if I was deficient to start with (especially on a regular basis). If you’re after higher sodium in a pre-mixed packet, I would definitely recommend to give this a try.

Natural ingredients
One of the few hydration mixes that has more potassium than sodium (2x). It’s also hard to find hydration mixes without artificial sweeteners and artificial colors. That’s where this one is different from the others. The only downside to the raspberry lemonade is that it does taste too sweet. I counter this by adding powdered lemonade or lemon juice. Then I think it tastes great.

The best electrolytes
I take plenty of Dr Bergs supplements and these electrolytes are a must during hot summer season. I definitely feel a big difference taking them while being outside on the hot day sipping on it. I highly recommend this product. It offers clean ingredients, no hidden sugar or starches or natural flavors. It tastes great too

You will feel the difference
Excellent product as far as good for the body and you will definitely notice a difference between other electrolyte powders that do not deliver the proper amount of electrolytes. You will feel the difference. Other products derive their electrolytes synthetically in a lab, these guys derived electrolytes from natural sources, which is bioavailable and healthy. The only downside to this product is they need to work on their flavor profile as it is not to tasty, takes some getting used to. Also the powder does not dissolve well in water. It takes quite a bit of shaking and time to dissolve it properly in the water.

A Sugar Free Hydration For Active Bodies
I feel the same way as others, with dissolvability and flavor (salty) being the two things I took stars off for. As for hydration, I haven’t really noticed a huge difference yet, but his other hydration packets work so well that I thought I would try these for the days that I do more strenuous workouts. One way, I am combating dissolvability is to make a 20 oz. bottle of it in the evening, putting it in the refrigerator (on its side) before I go to bed.. It seems to dissolve well overnight. This way I have it before and after my workouts in the morning.

Major hydration
I tried many hydration powders and drinks over the years and Dr. Berg Sports Hydration is hands down the best. It has the most magnesium, sodium and potassium than most hydration products. I’m 57 and I play basketball twice a week so it is essential that I get all the hydration I can. Dr. Berg Sports Hydration in my opinion is the BEST value for hydration, workout efficiency and I feel great after I consume it.

Electrolyte Packets
Unless you like the flavor of salt, I wouldn’t buy it. We each used one packet and have never used it again. The salt flavor was just just way too strong for us.
