Based on my experience with this bag, they make solid products that are roughly comparable to those from Shimoda, F-Stop Gear, WANDRD, Think Tank, and Tenba. The yellow interior brings to mind the excellent KATA bags from years past. It looks good and makes it easy to find any small parts floating around inside. Along with the other cases in this series, the F33 uses the same type of dividers found in Shimoda's Core Units, a compressed foam that is both thin and protective with the outer fabric fused to the inner material to eliminate any sloppiness or sagging. This is my preferred style of divider. My use case for this bag is as a stand-alone camera bag, not something I'm going to insert into a larger pack. Vanguard's BIB series, along with Tenba's BYOB line, are best suited for this as they include compartments and organizational features not found on similar cases from WANDRD, F-Stop, and Shimoda. This is not to say WANDRD's Camera Cube or F-Stop Gear's ICU could not be used stand alone. They also work fine if you already own them, and their size works for your application. (The lack of a padded top makes the Shimoda Core Units unsuitable for stand-alone applications.) Given that I already own WANDRD Camera Cubes, F-Stop Gear ICUs, Shimoda Core Units, and Tenba BYOBs, why do I need the Vanguard F33? What makes it different? In a word, sizing. The dimensions of the F33 are unique compared to the competition. I needed a case that would be as small as possible while also being long enough and deep enough to fit my Canon R5 on its side with an attached RF 100-500, a lens hood (reversed), a lens foot, and a couple filters, plus a second smaller lens with hood, and my filter case. The F33 accommodates all of this comfortably but without a bunch of excess space. To fit the same gear in the other brands' cases would require moving to an unnecessarily large size. In the image accompanying this review, note that the filter case and the shorter RF 70-200 F4 fit on the bottom. The R5 + RF 100-500 fits on the top. But if I mount the shorter RF 70-200 to my R5, this combo still fits on the bottom. This is important because it leaves a place for the RF 100-500 on top, even when it isn't mounted. The RF 24-105 F4 and RF 14-35 F4 with hoods also fit fine on the bottom, whether attached to the R5 or not. The bottom line here is that it is easy to recommend the Vanguard VEO BIB F33 camera bag. This can be mitigated with an s-clip or carabinier but it can still be annoying. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ EXACTLY what I needed *by M***L on October 28, 2023* I wanted to get more gear in less space (who doesn't?) so I bought five or so bag-in-bag dividers to see what worked for me. This bag won handily. With little-to-no wasted space, I can fit a full-size DSLR (Nikon D850), two of its premium trinity lenses (24-70 and 70-200), tripod foot, two extra batteries, remote shutter, two filters with metal stack caps, and plastic filter wrenches! Adding two peak quick-release tabs to the outside also let me quickly move the camera strap from the body to this bag to quickly so I can throw down my hiking pack and bound around with just this guy.
