It's very easy to apply and smells so good! The smell stays in your hair for a bit too (smells like a nice men's cologne). The red is such a beautiful colour (depending on what colour your hair is my hair is in between a light and dark blonde) the red came out as a deep red burgundy and fades very nicely! You can get multiple uses out of one jar (depending of length of hair of course mine is a little past shoulder length and I only did my ends).
