What size for a Labrador puppy

We purchased a size small for our Labrador retriever puppy he was nearly 3 months old, now 4 months and still fits him as it is adjustable

what is best escapeproof harness for small jrt?

I have a springador (medium dog) who escaped out of k9 harness 3 times - so far fingers crossed the Rabbitgoo has done the trick

There is a ring on the underside of the harness. What is this for please?

You can attach the dog lead to this ring If your dog pulls. When they pull forward the harness slips to the side and the dog is turned part way round. It has helped a bit with my puppy and is one of the reasons i chose this harness. I start with the lead clipped to the back and change to the front if she is pulling. I also tried attaching a 2nd lighter lead to the front and used my 2nd hand to ease her round when she pulled - this worked well when walking her on her own but i have 2 dogs so wasn't always practical

Is it machine washable?

I wash it frequently in a washing machine at 30 or 40 degree then tumble dry it and after 5 months of use it looks like new
