Perfect fit for a Kenmore series 80 dryer
Would recommend. Disassembling the dryer to install was harder than the actual installation. Not only is the dryer working better than it has in several years, it’s a lot quieter as well. Perfect fit for a Kenmore series 80 dryer.

Short shaft makes tensioner pop out because of belt position
The pully is approx 1/4 inch shorter than the original. This kept making the tensioning pully to pop off after manually rotating the drum a few times. Tried 5 times before deciding to measure old vs new. It said was a replacement for Whirlpool Part #279827. It is not. Returning. wasted a day trying to figure this out.

Simple to install and performs as well as the original.
My husband installed this dryer motor when ours stopped working and he said it was simple to install. It was an incredible value instead of having to replace the entire dryer and I don't notice any difference in my dryer's performance between this motor and the original one.

Exact replacement
This was an almost exact replacement motor for my old Kenmore dryer. The Molex connector on the dryer's wiring harness fit the motor connector perfectly. Instead of flats on the shaft for a 7/16" wrench so you can unscrew the blower, the outer flange of the pulley is hex shaped to fit a 7/8" wrench. That is the only difference I was able to notice.

Pay attention to your model and the wiring… tip, ask ai for help!
Motor is visually the same as the one I pulled out of the Amana dryer, but quick tip it’s not plug and play. Apparently for some models it plugs in fine, but I had to cut off the harness from my dryer and crimp some connectors on to connect to the terminals on the dryer. Anyways what you save from getting a generic motor you gotta do some research on the backend to make up for it. All that said it does work great
