However, I found that if you push in loosely to start with and leave for 5 minutes, they soften and are easier to mold and can be more effectively fitted. It is worth mentioning that I make a pair out of a single plug which works well for me. I use a fresh pair (1 plug) every 4 - 5 nights. I should point out that I do not need 100% noise blocking as I only need to block noise from the room below or outside (yapping dogs, car doors slamming etc.), so I can't comment on how they perform with a snoring partner. I can say that on hot nights I do have a large fan which is a little noisy and the ear plugs completely block out that noise.
