It's traditionally used for treating inflammation from acne. As the name suggests, this active also performs some exfoliation since its an acid butit also helps with treating bacteria on the skin so it's great if you're dealing with breakouts! The texture of this cream is nice. I find it spreads really easily and sinks in well. I've used it as part of a layered routine and alone without any issues. I haven't noticed any dramatic overnight results so this is likely an active that will take some time. Patience and consistency is key. It's not bad and much nicer than the azelaic acid cream I was using prior to getting this.
