Review: Heads-Up Phone Mount Perfection! - Taking a cue from the grips and mounts available to Smartphone Filmmakers, SXHyf has really come out with probably the ultimate positioning unit for attachment to the rearview mirror. My car has a typical beefy rearview with temp and compass, auto-dim, etc, so I wondered if the unit would fit. Yes. Yes it does. It fits tightly, secured by locknobs, ball joint, elbows, and clamps. It looks like a face-hugger from Aliens. And it holds like one, too! This device is actually a breeze to set up and looks like about $400 worth of fine film equipment. And yes, I have used it to film with my iPhone 15 Pro with SmallRig cage attached. I can't say enough positive things about this sturdy - though plastic - device. Not even aviation and truck stops have anything this good. Awesome device!
