How many mg of Glucosamine and Chondroitin per kg? The food description says it has enhanced levels of these but does that state the amount anywhere.

Hi it doesn't have any but if you buy a giant tub of Glucosamine and Chondritin powder at the Health shop you can add it to the meal, We usually make a gravy for our oldies who are a bit stiffer in their joints and old age, mix in a scoop of Glucosamine and Chondritin to it, and add it to the complete, no dog turns it down, as they are run every day in harness, it keeps the joints in good order, we also buy tablet form if you don't want to do a gravy..hope this helps, If you see Holland and Barrett have their buy one get one free advert we usually stock up on it then..we have found theirs the best..Anne

Does this flavour have rosemary in it? I can only see 'culinary herbs' in the ingredient list and need to avoid rosemary.

I have just read all the ingredients on the bag and included in the culinary herbs is Rosemary :-( Hope this helps you Anne x

Is this good for a very active labrador (gun dog) who isnt putting on weight? He is on james wellbeloved and extra mince and eggs, chicken ect ect

I prefer Skinners to James Wellbeloved for my dogs, they've done well on the Field & Trial Lamb, Duck & Salmon at various times, a working dogs trick for putting on weight is to add fat to the diet, start with 1 tsp and build up gradually to 1 tbls to avoid pancreatitis, I use fat from grilling, roasting, sunflower oil or melted lard

I feed my dogs (springer spaniels) on skinners field and trial duck and rice but thinking of changing to lamb and rice instead. Any advice please

I have a springer and he loves it I like to change the variety as I don’t want him to get bored of eating the same flavour

Spaniel loves this

My older spaniel was getting an upset tummy from his other Skinners food, which he had been on for 10 yrs. Vet advised to change him to lamb based product. No more upset tummy. This is a good price and Skinners are a good British company.

Dogs love it

Our dogs love this dog food. It always gets delivered quickly when we order it. And comes well packaged , never a ripped or damaged bag, these are big bags so lasts along time. One of our dogs has lots of allergies but this food is great for them. It’s wheat free and measured right for fats and protein. It’s also good for there joints and digestive system. It doesn’t have a strong smell as it stinks the kitchen out like some dog food but our dogs love it, it’s not to big for them to chew but they do like the crunch it makes. They always clean there bowls every meal and one of our dogs is very fussy with what food we use in the past. Good value for money highly recommend.
