Gulikit KingKong 2 Pro: Hall effect Sensor Joystick for PC | Switch | iPad | Mac | Android | iOS

We bought this controller for our Nintendo Switch in May of 2023 because of the control drift problems we were having with the standard JoyCons that came with the device. The "Hall effect" control sticks on this controller prevent that from happening. The controller feels sturdy and comfortable in the hands, a real joy to use.Perhaps the only downside about this controller is that we didn’t understand the really advanced settings and features of the device. We had been ignoring them quite happily until a few days ago (April 2024) when my youngest son pressed the "gear" button together with some other button by accident and suddenly it was as if severe controller drift had struck us again! We reached out to the Ninjadog team for help, and they responded in a fast, respectful and thorough way! They gave us the guidance on how to analyze the cause of the problem followed by clear steps on how to fix it ourselves by resetting the device settings, without any need for physical repair. My sons have both written short notes of appreciation to them for their help:- (13 year-old): "Thank you so much for helping us fix the gulikit controller. I had tried for so long to try and fix it with the manual, and thanks to you it’s all fixed! And now we know what to do next time if it has problems"- (8 year-old, and with a little help from his mom): "Thank you Ninjadog for helping us solve our controller problem. Your instructions were very helpful and by following them, we were able to reset our controller. Also, thank you for responding to our problem so quickly. I own costly Xbox and Ps5 Controllers compared to that its doesnt satisfy, Its lacks in face buttons.. im a competetive controller player.. if youre planning to buy xbox or ps5 primary versions.. go for this you will never regret also.. if you have xbox or ps5 buy with dongle it cost 1500 ₹

I have a DS5 and Switch Pro controller to compare.I like the large touchpad on the DS5 which can be configured easily to act as extra buttons.Gulikit has extra buttons, but one cannot easily map it to just any desired keyboard key.Gulikit takes 2 hours to charge and the battery lasts 20 hours. Much better than the DS5.The texture is nice to hold and the gamepad is a beauty.Switch Pro is still the better controller out of the lot.Gulikit having the hall effect means that there is no chance of stick drift. Only time will tell how long this controller will last.Only con is that one of the buttons is a little sticky. Sometimes it takes a second more to come back up from pressed state. Seems like they never did a quality test like Sony or Nintendo would do..

This controller is fantastic and, in principle, ought to be the most dependable one available. It includes some of the greatest face buttons in my opinion, a D Pad that I love using, and some of the nicest triggers I've ever experienced on a controller. The controller's back has a fantastic, gripping texture. The best texturing I have ever experienced on a gamepad.The plastic hardshell case it comes with is another thing I REALLY LOVE. It's really great because it barely takes up any more space than the controller would normally take and protects the controller from dust. Sincerely, I wish every controller had a small carrying bag like this.

For casual gamers and Switch enthusiasts, the Gulikit KingKong Pro 2 shines with its premium build quality and comfortable feel. However, competitive and fighting game players may be frustrated by the noticeable input delay compared to controllers like the Xbox Core.TLDR: Joysticks is really good being using it for under 1 year no drift issues. Input delay not good for Fighting games (Streetfighter, mortal combat) i also left it during Elden Ring & Monster hunter Rise/World too but manageable. This can lead to "floaty" feeling gameplay in fast-paced or reaction-heavy games.PPM mode limited impact: Although activating PPM reduces delay slightly, it doesn't eliminate the issue entirely.Final thoughts:The Gulikit KingKong Pro 2 is a compelling option for casual gamers and Switch enthusiasts who prioritize comfort and build quality. However, its noticeable input delay makes it less ideal for competitive players or those who demand the fastest possible response times.
