Let me start off with some background. My wife adopted a little girl which meant we were losing the full use of second bedroom of our two bedroom apartment. This was traditionally our shared office space/junk room. With the repurposing of that room, we got rid of our desks and had to integrate our workspace into the living room. My wife got a nice ikea desk but I decided to go deskless and just use a lap tray for my laptop. This didn't last long. I needed a place for stationary and to serve as my at-home base of operations. The only space not dedicated to baby stuff was a small section beside our couch where our end tables had been relegated. I was glad to see this desk fit that space perfectly. Pros: Cheap. This desk was not only cheaper than the alternatives at target and wal-mart, but the rounded shelves gave it a nicer look. Not to mention, it was two fewer sharp corners in an increasingly baby proofed home. Easy assembly. If you've put together anything from ikea, this should pose no challenge. Cons: Pieces aren't very well labeled, but there are so few you shouldn't really need the labels. I like the fact that I don't have big ugly letter stickers on each piece. The piece letter is stenciled onto the unfinished edge but it isn't very clear. You're better off just comparing the pieces to the instructions. Also, the finish was worn off of the edge of my shelves when they arrived. I would complain, but the desk was super cheap and I just touched up the worn spots with a sharpie, end of crisis. Regarding other complaints: 1. Screw holes not fully drilled - right, because it is particle board. Even without the pre-drilled holes screws work into the "wood" easily, if the holes were drilled too deeply, the screws wouldn't take. I found the whole screw situation pretty well done. The whole unit comes together using a series of dowels, cam locking bolts and a few screws. 2. Desk is wobbly on carpet - I misunderstood this at first. When I read that people found the desk wobbly I thought they were referring to the construction of the desk itself. After assembly, I noted how solid it felt. When I put it on the carpet, however, I realized what people meant. On the carpet, it sometimes appears as though the whole thing might tip over. However, this is because it is so narrow relative to its height. Mine stabilized once I put things onto it and had it pushed up against the side of the couch. If you have it against a wall, just anchor it. If you are using it on a hard surface, it won't even need that. 3. Space - the dimensions are clearly listed. The desktop comfortably fits a 19" laptop, mouse, a desk lamp and space to charge up my phone. If you are unsure, measure your stuff and see if it will fit before ordering. I never expected to get a super expensive desk on the cheap. I wanted something that fit into a small space within some very specific dimensions (which this did). If it wobbled, I stabilized it. If something didn't fit, I made it fit. If there was a scuff, I touched it up. For $50 I expected exactly what was described, not a turnkey solution in a box. The desk isn't perfect. But I think it is still worth the $50 depending upon your needs.

I’m very happy with this desk. The quality is excellent for the price, it’s sturdy, stable, and super easy to assemble,I finished in less than an hour following the instructions. The size is perfect for small spaces, yet it still offers great functionality. What I love the most are the two small drawers for storing little items and the side shelves, which are perfect for books or decorations. The black and gray design looks modern and matches with everything. I use it as a laptop desk and also for studying, and honestly, it has exceeded my expectations. I 100% recommend it if you’re looking for a stylish, functional, and affordable desk. Totally worth it!

My son is almost 8 and my other son is 17 and this is perfect for them both to do remote, at home schooling. I wish I’d bought it back in August. It literally took me less than 30 minutes to put together and all I needed was a Phillips screw driver. My husband was shocked to see I didn’t need his help😃 DO NOT use a POWER SCREW DRIVER on this, it WILL split the wood, as It is only particle wood. I love how convenient it is to assemble and you can choose the left or right side that you want the rounded side with shelves to be on. Just be sure you wait to put the little piece at the bottom, the strip by the feet area. Wait until last, or after you decide which side the rounded side will be on as you want to be sure to have the color facing the correct way. Now, about that little piece, I do not like that it only screws on one side and not both. That’s a little weird. I do not know if mine was just missing the pre drilled holes in the wood, or if I just received 2 extra screws. Not sure, but it only screws on one side, and this is regardless of what side it is placed on. Either way, it still holds up nicely. Just be sure not to put your feet up on that rail. One other thing I didn’t realize is, both of the drawers are made out of cloth (they’re like the cube storage shelves) and there is no back to the shelf (I assume it’s because again, you can choose to put the rounded side on left or right) . Oh and FYI: IF YOU BUY THIS, BE SURE TO OPEN IT OUTSIDE AT THE TRASH! You will need to take piece by piece out the box and wipe it down over the trash can to avoid having foam balls all over your flooring. It will get EVERYWHERE! All in all, THIS IS FOR YOU............ If you’re looking for a desk for your kid’s to do home schooling, or a simple vanity to hold your makeup etc, if you don’t have a whole lot of space for a desk, but need one anyways, and if you’re using it for laptop vs computer or to use it for anything not very heavy, then this IS the right desk for you. This desk MAY NOT BE FOR YOU IF.............. If you are an adult or teenager looking for a sturdy desk to hold heavy things, this desk is definitely NOT for you. The legroom would be a bit tight on anyone taller than maybe 5’8 or so. If you’re wanting to put a full blown computer on it, not sure I’d even recommend that either as it is a bit wobbly, however, if that is all that’s going to be on it then it might be ok. I would have given 5* if it didn’t wobble a little.

Original review: (1 star) This is the third product I've ordered from Furinno, and the last two were both extremely easy to assemble and look fantastic. This product, however, not only requires extra tools (the TV stand and end table I previously ordered required no tools at all), the product I received was borderline useless. Nearly every piece was damaged upon opening the box (cracked, chipped edges, broken corners, etc.), and when I reached out to the company for a replacement, I received no response. This item was meant to be a nice, small desk for my guest room, but I would be embarrassed to have anyone see the quality of this product if I'd continued assembling it. There was no portion that wouldn't have been visibly damaged. I'm extremely disappointed. I saw the mixed reviews prior to purchase, but I ignored them because I'd had good experiences in the past. Given my experiences so far, I'd say you have a 33% chance of receiving something useless from this company. You can choose to take that chance, or select another company's product instead. UPDATE: (3 stars) The company did eventually respond, though only to tell me they were out of stock and to request a refund from Amazon. I instead requested a replacement, as I really did want this desk. The replacement arrived quickly, and it was in MUCH better condition, though there were still a few nicks on the top board. The styrofoam was just beginning to break down, which makes me think that Amazon's stock is old, which is why so many of us are receiving damaged units. I will say, though, that it was very easy to put together by myself, and it looks very cute. I'm concerned about how easily it may be scratched, and it is small, but it's good for a small apartment, dorm room, or kid's room (provided they're careful with it). I will say, though, that it is now significantly more expensive than it was when I bought it, and I don't think it's worth the current cost of around $75. You can get a much higher quality product in that price range instead. If you see it for around $40, it's a good buy for the price. The score was raised because the final product really is very cute, and it suits my purposes very well.

Very useful for the computer, very easy to assemble, and of very good quality.

This desk was just what I needed for a small space. The design is modern and the white oak color looks clean and elegant. The two drawers are useful for storing stationery or small accessories. It took me less than an hour to assemble it with clear instructions. It is ideal for studying or working with a laptop, although I would not recommend it for very heavy equipment. Excellent value for money.

It's the perfect height and length but I wish it were a bit deeper. Granted that was up to me not looking at the specs more carefully. But it does seem to be a bit shallow for anyone with legs longer than someone of my 5'2 height and anyone with a sizeable laptop. It is great for small spaces and is pretty sturdy. Though I would suggest putting wood glue on all the joints as it is made of only particle board. The corners are a bit sharp if you aren't careful. I do love having the small shelves which are perfect for my favorite books and journals. The drawers are actually cloth baskets. Big enough for all my little craft supplies and stickers. I was able to fit a couple small bins inside one to keep it organized. I am quite satisfied. Cheap and you get what you pay for but I'm a college student who just needed something small that did the job.

On the smaller side , But fit my need. I think this desk is pretty handy for the the small size . Perfect for my kiddo and school work .

Seen the price I was not expecting high quality furniture but it definitely is worth the money and a little more. The only down side is that it is a little shaky

Really pleased with this little desk, bought for my daughter for homework. Easy to assemble, looks good, compact yet great for storage.

This Desk Does Deserve 4 & Half Stars But Decided To Give 5 Due To Not Able To Give 4 & Half. Reason Why Because In 360 Viewing It Shows Or Makes It Look Like It's Got A Back Panel At Top & Bottom Panel Is Same Color See Screen & Image Taken Which Isn't An Issue If Against A Wall But Unfortunately Mine Isn't. Anyway Enough Knit Picking. I'm Very Happy With This Desk Due To Only Ordering Has A Add-On For More Desk Top Space & Only Having A Small Space The Dimensions Are Perfect. To Use As A Computer Desk Or Your Main Desk I Would Advise Against Not Much Space & For A Tower Unit On Bottom Shelf Isn't Suitable For A Large Tower Unit. The Tower Unit I Have Is A Dell Optiplex 390 sff & I've Measured & Even Been Small The Unit Fits Perfectly But I'd Be Tripping Over Cables They Stick Way Out. Also I've Added Screen Shots Of Description Due To A Review Stating They Didn't Know That The Drawers Are Fabric I Don't Know If This Info Was Added After Review Was Listed. Has One Of My Images Show An Adult Chair Isn't Small Enough To Fit Under Desk Especially If Chair Is Wider Than 47.5cms. So Perfect For An Add-On Desk Or Laptop & Even For A Child's First Desk Since Drawers Are Fabric They Won't Trap Their Fingers & Their Chair Could Be Small Enough To Fit Under.

Great little desk! Perfect for my Imac. When I unpacked it I was a little perturbed by how fragile some parts of it looked, but once it's built its really pretty good.
