The liquid I’m using is a little thicker than a lot of medicines. They are perfect for a few uses before the surgical edge goes away. Much more economical than buying the tool with plunger as the needle always quickly loses that perfect edge. These have never become clogged for me and if one did Id just open another. No frustration. I once watched a co angler angrily throw his 20$ fizzing tool into the lake because he had only used it a few times and it was basically as sharp as a wooden toothpick. As far as the pain level goes, I haven't had a chance to ask any of the fish. Fizzing them saves their lives when that swim bladder is stuck full, so I'm sure that's enough.
