After Tomoe paper was reformulated, I've been looking for another brand that I liked equally. My inks dazzle on this paper and show off beautiful colors, shading, and shimmer. I've got all of my friends ordering it now. It's a great price as well. The only drawback is the natural oils on your skin can make the ink skip so be careful not to drag your hand and definitely don't wear lotions!

At first, I was not impressed by this paper at all. In my experience, fountain pen friendly paper has always been smooth and silky. Think: Rhodia, Clairefontaine, Tomoe River, Bachuan, Midori, all smooth! Iroful, by comparison, feels like printer paper. But it does not behave like printer paper. It’s slightly toothy, but it showcases ink beautifully. And unlike its silky smooth cousins, it dries faster. I still prefer other papers for writing journal entries or letters. But if I’m taking notes and need to be speedy? Iroful is my new paper of choice.

This paper is some of the best for fountain pens. I love it. I was surprised to find, however, that the dot grid pattern is only on the front side. I guess it's my fault for not reading the description closely enough, but this decision makes the paper unusable for my intended purpose - which is to construct pocket notebooks with it. I find it very strange to have dot grid pattern only on one side. Even if I was using this loose-leaf for note-taking I would want the pattern to be consistent on each side of the page. Oh well - still great paper that I will enjoy using.

Just what I needed to add pages to book I already have. Nice quality, holds up to well to erasers.

I've been looking for a 68gsm tomoe river alternative. As fountain pen paper: it's pretty ok. There is some kind of thick coating that feels slightly sticky when writing. Pens don't float over it. Ink takes ages to dry, but that's normal for this sort of product. I wish it was dotted on both sides, but that wasn't the deal breaker. The problem is that the coating is uneven in spots and creates small areas that are totally ink resistant and it pools and skips. It's different on every page, and I've even found some spots that seem finger print shaped. I thought it might be from me touching it, but I did some tests and it seems to be that it was handled before the coating was fully dried. Unfortunately will not re order

Why not both sides? Paper works good with fountain pens.

ツルツル紙が苦手でザラザラを求めると滲んでしまう・・・と、なかなかコレという紙に出会えなかったのですが遂に出会ってしまいました。このイロフル、書き心地的にはインクジェット紙の表面に似ている気がします。ちょっと突っかかる系で、インクの出が良くなるのか普段使っているMDペーパーに書くよりも文字が太くなります。 本当は星５をつけたいところなのですが、一点、、、どこで購入したものを使っていても紙の当たり外れがあります。個体によって一部やたらインクを弾いてしまうところがあるものがあります。買いていればわかります。そういう部分に出会うとちょっとガッカリしてしまうので星-1です。 でもこれからも購入するし、愛用し続けますよ。メーカーの方が少し気にかけてくださると嬉しいです・
