A delightful read
I really enjoyed this book. Miss Busby first appeared in another of Karen's books, helping Major Heathcliff Lennox solve a murder. Now, here she believes what is first thought to be an accidental death is actually murder. Together with both old and new friends, not forgetting Pud the cat and Barnaby the dog, she decides to investigate.I highly recommend this book and hope there will be further stories about Miss Busby.

Another Miss Marple?
Really enjoyed this book and I hope there will be more. The main character has similarities to Miss Marple. Many twists and turns which keeps you guessing. Would recommend.

Easy read
Like Miss Marple. There is humor, red herrings, a dog, cat and a gruff Inspector, what more could you want!

Not as gripping.
Though I liked and was enthralled by previous stories of the period, this one was a disappointment, I miss the characters from the previous books, gripped by the twists and final solutions throughout the investigations this one left me disinterested and I'm only a third of the way through.

Engaging and fun, as I’d expect
Karen Baugh Menuhin’s Heathcliff Lennox series made this new venture a must for me to try out. I’m not disappointed - enough intrigue, and fun, and miraculously a female sleuth whose life doesn’t revolve around cake! I just wish cosy mystery editors would learn the difference between discrete (separate) and discreet (tactful, private). I sometimes thought I could detect one author’s voice from the other, but nothing jarred, and a good fist collaboration. Good luck Zoe with spreading your wings. I’ll definitely read the next one.

Cleverly Written
True style of Agatha Christie but the clues to the killer are placed in the story to find...my only set back was that an obvious one or two that would have been picked up by any police force was not pursued but did NOT spoil the enjoyment of the story

Wonderful
At last ,a new Miss Marple. A lovely village setting , good plot and lots of interesting characters makes this a joy to read. As well as the indomitable Miss Busby ,I particularly loved the character Adeline.Already looking forward to the next in the series. A breath of fresh air.
