Great for our little belly sleeper
I got this to use on our 3 month old while my husband was away for work for a week. We already let our baby nap on her tummy during the day when we're awake, but I needed more peace of mind to allow her to do that while I was also sleeping (when my other 3 kids weren't waking up). It has gone off a handful of times in the 3 weeks we've been using it - a few times it jolted me out of my sleep and I rushed to check on her and shoosh the device before I could tell if there was a true breathing issue or not. A few times I could tell she was still breathing and moving but the device didn't seem to think it was often enough. Either way, she's been fine every time and I'm getting more sleep than I otherwise would have. A lot of reviews mention the alarm is hard to hear, but it's really pretty loud. Whether you're in the same room or not, I wouldn't put any solid layers over the device (like a sleep sack or cotton blanket), otherwise it muffles the sound and you can't see the flashes. And it would obviously be harder to hear through a monitor, especially if you have any fans or white noise going. We put our kiddo in a onsie and footed pants and attach it to the back of the pants. We put a blanket over her bottom half that has lots of small gaps in it so the sound and light can still easily be heard and seen (handmade blankets), and she's always in the same room as one of us. The only thing I wish was different is that the two side buttons weren't directly across from each other. You press both at the same time to turn it off, but only one of them to turn it on. I always end up having to hold it with both hands to turn it on because otherwise my fingers want to naturally hold it where the buttons are which makes it hard to press in just one of them and not both at the same time. A small gripe for an awesome device. All in all, well worth the +$100.

Excellent with caveats plus six month update
First I want to say this is an amazing excellent product that does exactly what it says. It is super sensitive, picks up every breath accurately, and gives great peace of mind. There are a few things to know. Volume level. It is loud enough that we can hear it across the hall with both doors open. Easily heard through a baby monitor. Wearability. Most newborns are going to be swaddled and be in sleep and play outfits. By design you have to clip this to a diaper or pant waist then you will still want to put a swaddle over it. If you have two layers with a sleep and play and swaddle chances are you won't see the green light. I like the green light bc it shows me at quick glance my baby is still breathing in the dark night. I find that it's best to put the sleep and play on then rest the sensor on the belly then put the swaddle on. Doing so you can still see the light blinking. It comes with a risk bc the monitor may move if your baby wiggles a lot and false alert if it no longer makes good contact with the belly. To solve this I honestly wish the maker of this product would have like a little elastic waist band that you could put around the sleep and play before putting on the swaddle. Overall I would buy it again bc I think it's one of the better products on the market. six month update... I would buy this 10 times over. it is super easy to use and super accurate. you can clip it onto a diaper and then put on clothes and then a sleep sack and turn on the audible beep so you can hear the ticking instead of seeing the green light which is awesome because I can hear it through the baby monitor and I know that he's still breathing.

Peace of mind
I ordered this shortly before taking a trip where baby wouldn’t be under Nanit for me to watch on my phone all night. This works—I tested it holding it in my hand. Now that we’re home, I use both. This is easy to use and setup. Just two buttons and you squeeze the little device to depress the buttons to turn it on and off. A brief “test” will run and then be ready to use. If you don’t shut it off during a diaper change, you’ll see that it senses no breathing and alert you. I clip this onto baby’s diaper, under a onesie and under a Halo sleep swaddle. You can see the blinking green light through the swaddle in a dark room—and through just a onesie in a well lit room. I no longer find myself hovering over baby in the middle of the night watching for movements. It’s so easy to glance at baby, and see a blinking green light. On one occasion we realized after a nap that the clip had detached from the diaper but it stayed on baby’s tummy and kept monitoring breathing. The $100 something dollars was worth it for me to not have to pause and stare for movement intermittently all night long. A quick glance and you’ll see the flashing green light. It’s not so bright that it would interfere with the light in the room and keep you up—you have to look directly at it. I attached a video of baby sleeping in a pack and play in our hotel room—wearing this under a onesie and a halo swaddle. I recommend this for loving and concerned parents or caregivers looking for peace of mind.

Peace of mind
Product is worth every penny! There are different modes and one has a very low constant beep with a green light that flashes. I’m a nervous grandma, but I finally got some sleep using this product! So easy to clip on and use, even in the dark. I would recommend this to anyone!

Love the snuza
We really like the snuza! It gives us a peace of mind when we have it on our baby while she’s asleep. One of my favorite purchases for our baby. It clips snug on her diaper and has only fallen off a couple times but that was due to us not fully clipping it on. I like the feature of it flashing red if it went off during the night. When it goes off when it doesn’t detect movement, it is very loud which is nice since she is sleeping in her own room. We really do love this product and plan on using with all of our babies in the future.

Unfortunately Unreliable
I don’t recommend the Snuza. As an anxious first time mom, I bought this for peace of mind and sleep. It worked for 4 weeks. I read the manual and followed the instructions about usage (not turning it on and off unnecessarily and alarming frequency). I stored it in the storage case and paid close attention to it. It never gave any warning about a low battery. But apparently there is an issue with the Snuza getting power. On 3 occasions, I turned the Snuza on and clipped it to my baby. When we woke up for feedings, the Snuza was off. Initially, I chalked it up to my own error to turn to the thing on. Until the 3rd time, I was starting to get worried, so I turned it on and 3 hours later it was off (not monitoring). I don’t mind changing the battery, but I need to know that I have to, otherwise my baby is going unmonitored! And if it’s not just battery changing, that’s a major issue! So as an anxious mom looking for piece of mind, I am now anxious that baby’s breathing monitor isn’t working and I have no idea how long it’s staying on for. Since I bought it 3 months ago on Amazon (preparing for baby), it’s now too late to return it.

amazing BUT…
Overall, this product is amazing and I will be using/buying another for my next baby. I am 5months PP and this has helped my anxiety tremendously, especially centered around SIDS. There is a small green light that flashes with every breath movement, and you can even set it where there is a “tick” noise with every breath as well. It’s small and easy to clip on to diaper. Easy to travel with. Love using this in the car when I am by myself because I worry about him breathing while asleep in the car seat. The comfort I feel when I wake up in a panic over him breathing and I look in the pitch black and can see the green light flashing. It immediately brings me back down . It gives me such peace of mind. Not going to lie it took a couple of weeks for my anxiety brain to really comprehend that if it can’t sense him breathing the alarm WILL go off. But once my brain finally got it I could actually sleep some during the night. BUTTTT…. It has room for improvement. The alarm is not loud enough. If your baby sleeps right next to you in a bassinet then you will be fine. But you will not hear the alarm on a monitor if your baby sleeps in another room. When my baby turned 3 months I moved him into his crib and onto another wall in MY room. With our fan going, and the sound machine on, and under two layers of clothing (sleeper and swaddle) I could not hear it. I did a test run. So I moved the crib right next to my bed. Also you may or may not be able to see the flashing green light depending on the thickness of your swaddle/sack. I started to notice that as my son moved out of NB size swaddles but by that time I was comfortable enough with the device that seeing the light or not wasn’t a deal breaker for me. I never had any false alarms until now. My son is currently 5 months and going on 2 weeks and he LOVES to roll and sleep on his stomach. This causes him to scrunch up and with the positioning of the way he sleeps the sensor is not touching his stomach. It has gone off 3 times on me just tonight. I am trying a new method of clipping the snuza on the back of his diaper since he sleeps on his stomach and so far so good. But if I start having trouble again I will be in the market for something new. I love the snuza because it doesn’t hook up to WiFi. I have read so many reviews about the owlet un syncing and going off and we don’t have the best service and WiFi where I live so this was the best and most affordable option. Overall if you’re questioning it I would say go for it. It helped me survive the “4th trimester” truly. It also has a 12 month warranty. I’m in the market for a battery and that is seeming to be a bit of a problem finding the correct one. The battery light indicator hasn’t shown me it’s getting low yet but I want to be prepared for when it does. If I can get around this sleep position problem we will be gold.

Best purchase i've ever made.
If you're considering this, buy it. It's not the cheapest, granted - but a bargain for the peace of mind it gives you. Compared to the pressure plates and the AI camera (which I found to be woefully unreliable) - this Snuza does one thing, and it does it very well. hands down the best money I've ever spent on any item. i'd give it 6 stars if I could.
