Works perfectly!! They did have a smell when they first arrived, so I put them outside to air out. I had some extra slab from a kitchen remodel and had the fabricators cut me two circles. This lazy Suzy is smooth and quiet! It is flush and gives me stone a beautiful appearance. I did not drill into the stone and simply placed my stone on top of the lazy Susan- so super easy installation for me! It appears to be very sturdy. Very versatile for uses- I use one for my morning tea set on my island. The other one is on my table for either food serving dishes or a flower arrangement. The price was also great! And the “feet” of the lazy Susan are perfect and do not scratch up my countertop or table.

I love this turntable! I was shopping for traditional Lazy Susan hardware, but I'm so glad I chose this instead. It's flat, so there's no wobbling. The rotating bearings give it a smooth and noise free spin. The suction cups gives you options, making it versatile. It's a little pricey but has some weight, made of solid steel, well worth the money. I plan to purchase many more.

Believe it or not, I bought this to make rotary platform to put my 5 gallon beer keg on in the fringe. The gas supply line coming through the wall of the fridge is short (no more than 8 inches) and leaves little for manipulation of the tap when trying to put it on a new keg full of beer. The twisting of the keg was difficult, and I could see it was going to wear through the plastic fridge bottom eventually (full 5 gal= 50lbs or so). The 8 inch size fit perfectly in the space, and now I effortlessly turn the keg while inserting the tap! Good quality construction, works great, quiet operation and no assembly required! A great product!

I just installed this on a tabletop lazy susan made of 3/4 inch plywood with a ceramic mosaic top. I spent quite a bit of time looking at turntable bearings before buying. This one looked like the best suited for my application. I have to say that I think it is generally well engineered but in installation I ran into some issues First, the places that are reserved for screws have the same plastic inserts as the others on the product. There need to be holes in the inserts for the three attachment screws. I managed to make my own holes but it made the installation much more difficult than it needed to be. Second, the thing is terribly noisy. I am not sure the ball bearings had any lubricant on them. In my attempt to resolve the noise, I bought some aerosol white lithium grease to lubricate them. There is a set screw on the edge of the outer ring that can be removed. I removed it and sprayed the lubricant into the hole as I turned it. If you try this, be careful as the ball bearings are small enough to go through the hole so, if you aren't careful, you could loose some. The set screw must be set to the original depth or the ball bearings can get jammed up making it difficult to turn. In the end, I got the thing to spin smoothly but it is still quite noisy. I still think it was the best choice for my project but wish I didn't have to deal with the issues above. Maybe some instructions would help.

I gave this 5 stars because it's exactly as described. If you're buying it to use it for something besides a lazy Suzanne though, here are a few notes: The outer diameter is actually 7.875" instead of 8" exactly. So if this is a constraint, it may not work. If you're securely mounting it to two surfaces (instead of using the rubber feet on one surface) you'll need to use spacers between the rings and the mounting area because both inner and outer rings are the exact same thickness. This will cause friction while turning unless spacers are used. The bearing itself is good for the price point, but I wouldn't recommend it for any kind of industrial use, or something that is mechanized and will be turning constantly. There's too much play between the bearings and the races, and it would wear out quickly.

I made a thin, 12” lazy susan. It’s pretty light weight and is rather stiff to rotate. Putting washers on the underside of the mechanism helped by keeping it off the wood surface, but it still does not rotate as easily as I’d like. Oiling the bearings didn’t seem to have much effect.

Exactly what I needed for the lazy Susan on my garden table. Feels sturdy. Smooth action. Recommend size for the turntable was also spot on.
