20mm Bulk Mix of 52 Purple Chunky Bubblegum Beads 11 Styles Acrylic Gumball Beads Lot

Six years ago at this time I wasn’t making jewelry yet. However, I was planning a trip to a relative of mine’s, wedding. Her colors were lavender and white. I went about buying what I thought would be perfect, including a purple dress. Well, Covid hit and most of what I bought went into a “Wedding Box”. I don’t remember the jewelry I bought, but that same year I started buying beads. Though I like larger bead, I didn’t know about millimeters, the size that beads come in. Through trial and error I bought some smaller beads, but what I wanted were larger ones. One day I came across these. I knew they would be perfect for that Wedding Outfit that was still sitting in a box in a closet. These are perfect for the size I wanted and the colors and styles are just what I wanted too. I did notice in someone’s review that their bead count was off and someone else mentioned the coloring. And another thing I was a bit concerned about was not being able to string some of them, as someone mentioned that in some of the beads the holes was not completely drilled through. I had that experience late last summer when I bought some beads that had quite a few that weren’t drilled completely through. When I received my order the first thing I did was put each bead through a thread through test. The beads that look like purple pumpkins were the only ones I found with a thread through issue. But the thread did go through after turning the beads around and threading them from the other end. Another issue I had was with one of the Crystal like beads. One of them had a piece of sharp material sticking from it, which could stick the wearer. Fortunately I bought a Jeweler’s File Kit a few years ago. I don’t know why. But I’m glad I did because I was able to file that sharp piece down, and smoothing it out a bit. I first tried using my wire cutters to remove the piece. It did chip it off but I wanted it completely removed. The only thing I didn’t like about that was it slightly scratched up the bead. But it’s useable without much notice. I don’t expect to always get a perfect package of beads but things like holes that barely go through or not at all. Or prickly points that have to be removed, are not acceptable. I did get a full package count of fifty-two. There are twelve designs in mine, with four beads per design. One of the designs had eight beads, bringing the count to fifty-two. Since I just received these beads, and I have yet to come up with a design, I can’t say how well they will wear, or how long they will last. However I do expect them to serve my purpose as there is a pending wedding in my family, this year. These beads are not shiny or sparkly. But I wouldn’t want something loud or gaudy for a wedding anyway. And as a bonus I want to also say these beads do not smell. At least my batch doesn’t. That’s a plus for me. This is an update: I thought I had the Red Chunky Bubblegum Beads like these, and I do. But the count is only forty-eight. Plus the count per design are more than others. Some have three, some have four, and some have five. That just doesn’t make me happy. For the count they will still serve my purpose, but somebody did a sloppy job. It seems like they were just picked up by the handful and put in the bag. I was not happy about that. It’s to bad I didn’t check them when I bought them. They are of course the same brand. I have found some beads like these and they are brown and gold and silver. I can’t wait to receive them. I’m kind of anxious to get started on my Summer Jewelry.

The picture is misleading, the color is a lighter shade of purple than what’s shown in the image. The online image shows them looking more of a variation of deep shades of purple with some dark browns (perfect for fall), but when they arrived they look like everyday purple shades. The beads are pretty but I’m disappointed because I didn’t want or need regular purple,

When I pay for 52 beads I expect 52 beads not 48. I needed 52 beads!!

seems a bit pricey but I couldn't find the beads I wanted at local hobby store so these were perfect.

The colors were just ok

These beads are beautiful, but about 1/4 of them do not go all the way through the bead so they can't be strung for a necklace.
