365 by Whole Foods Market Decaf Buzz Free Ground Coffee, 10 OZ

These decaf Buzz Free beans have a great, smooth, quality flavor. Not your typical decaf. I like to grind half caffeine and half decaf , and I like the full flavor taste and smell it gives my coffee. Great job, Whole Foods.

Finally someone has made a decaf coffee with a taste bold enough to rival a caffeinated product. Also made using the Swiss water process so no harmful chemicals used to remove the caffeine. All natural and great taste to boot. A winner at a great price point.

We have ground our coffee and enjoyed the rich flavors of non-decaf coffee for years. Then recently we needed to switch to decaf, and have been disappointed with the selection of whole bean decaf coffees. 365, however, has been a nice surprise. First of all, the smell of freshly ground coffee beans filled the kitchen. The flavor was rich. I don't expect that any brand of decaf will ever match regular coffee, but 365 comes close.

Even though this is not considered espresso I’ve found it works great to give me delicious caffeine free coffee with a good crema. I get the whole bean as I have a grinder that I prefer using over buying the ground coffee. Because I have to drink decaf I’m very picky about the strength and flavor of my lattes. This meets all my requirements along with Whole Foods quality for an excellent price!!

This is fairly tasty for a decaf although I haven't found one that taste as good as the high test.

Photo shows comparison with other coffee brands. I am by no means a coffee connoisseur, but I've been drinking my share of Joe for over 4 decades now. So I think I know a little. This stuff is in no way a "light to medium" roast. This stuff is BURNT. It's nearly black, and it has a sour, burn-y smell that is off-putting. I will amend this review after I've actually tasted it, but suffice it to say, this gives Starbucks' French Roast--their darkest--a run for it's money. While I can easily see the coffee oils on the beans (a good thing), there are also MANY broken pieces of bean throughout the bag, almost as if they took all the leftover coffee "bits & bobs," from other batches, threw them in a roaster, packaged them up, and said, "Meh--good enough." I bought this just to try something new, and because for the price you get 2 lbs worth, a good deal in the coffee world. I hope I'm not disappointed. So Amazon and Whole Foods, I truly HOPE it it's worth the money because otherwise, it's good for nothing other than making a body scrub or plant mulch out of it. EDIT: Keeping my 3 star review. On its own, this coffee is nothing to write home about. It definitely has a "burnt" flavor lurking in the background, so I opted to mix it with a more "normal" lighter brew to see if that would help. It did, thankfully. However, that doesn't excuse the false claim of "light to medium roast" advertised on line and on the bag itself. I wanted so badly to really like this stuff. Thankfully, I got a refund on it. AMAZON/WHOLE FOODS/365...DO BETTER PLEASE.

Best decaf ever and helpful way to quit caffeinated coffee......

This coffee is the first decaf coffee I have found that is worth drinking. It’s rich and bold. Great for an afternoon cup, that will allow you to sleep at night. Makes great espresso.

Low quality beans. Over roasted. Lots of loose chaff that gets stuck onto the sides of grinder and even dosing cup. Bitter w little flavour.
