Will Knock Your OTHER Socks Off!
I needed socks to wear with boots while hiking. After reading the reviews, I took a shot on these, and man am I glad I did. These are now my number 1 sock in looks, comfort and performance. I've had them all. Nike, UA, Adidas, Incredicsocks and more. I wanted to find a sock that's not too thin, not too thick, comfortable and will wick sweat. I never thought of Carhartt as a competitor. But they are. Big time. These socks are well made, well stitched, and I now have over 150 hours of hiking in them. My feet stay dry, are not too thick that I can't get into boots, and wash up great.I started wearing them in my every day boots and even sneakers, and they work great! I will be buying more of these as the Fall approaches.NOTE: I have had NO issues with tightness around the ankles or extra material around the toes. For me, they are a perfect fit. Negative reviews are expected, like any other clothing bought online. Works for some and not for others. Joe Blow could leave a stellar review for a pair of Nike socks. Joe Blow's brother might leave a scathing review for the same pair. Don't let the negative reviews stop you. As long as you can get free returns, it's worth a shot.I HIGHLY recommend you budget for these. They are worth every penny. Carhartt. Socks. Who figured.

Great socks, for a while
I have purchased about 15 packs of these over the last couple of years. They are awesome for a while, however under heavy use they lose all the cushioning and thickness in the heel and toe. The fabric gets thin and eventually you can easily see skin. I’m not talking about after a year of use, I’m talking within 2-3 months of being worn maybe once or twice a week depending on laundry rotation. I work hard, and am known to tare up boots, so these might suit the average usecase, however I chose these with my use case in mind. I can say that the $20 dollar a pair wool blend Carhart quarter socks hold up pretty well, just an expensive option.

Like most all Carhartt items these are great, try them, I doubt if you will send them back.

A little tight
These were a little tighter than I expected. Almost to the point of being uncomfortable. After a few washings I'm hoping they come around. They are probably fine for someone that doesn't have Neuropathy issues. My feet tend to swell in the evening which I'm sure accounts for the tightness.
