Amazing substitute
I ollowed Rachel's review the first time and listened to her cooking instructions to make fried rice. "Follow the directions on the bag EXCEPT only boil for 1.5 minutes, not the 2-3 minute recommended cook time. Strain and cool rice with cold water immediately to stop the cooking process. At this point the rice will be soft on the outside but with a crunchy little center, which is not ideal. To finish to the perfect consistency, you’re going to semi-fry the rice in a pan with the oil of your choice. You do not need a lot of oil maybe a couple tablespoons and it does not need to get as hot as a traditional rice fry. Fry the rice on medium for a 2ish minutes stirring a bit then place a lid over the pan and place on low for another 3-5 stirring occasionally to avoid burning. If you do the the rice will not be mushy nor have that crunchy center, it will very much have the texture of real rice! The “grains” are not sticky, so it acts more like a basmati rice. The taste is pretty plain to me but I read that like cilantro, some people find the taste of lupin to be bitter while others do not. For your sake I hope you don’t because this is a great low-carb rice alternative when cooked properly!" Thanks Rachel!!! I fried egg and chicken later and introduced it all. Delicious. I can't eat regular rice now.

Amazing Fried Rice, see recipe
I was able to make a really authentic seeming Asian fried rice. I followed Rachel's review for cooking. Recipe Five chicken tenders or 2 chicken breast's. (or meat of your choice) 1 onion 1 head garlic 2 eggs (optional) I package Avaite Lupin Rice. Olive oil, or any cooking oil or fat like lard or coconut oil. Sauce (my best guess because I don't measure) 1 quarter cup soy sauce or Braggs amigos. 1 teaspoon rice vinegar 1 teaspoon sesame oil 1 half teaspoon fish sauce (optional but most authentic fried rice taste) I like some powdered chicken bullion as well, maybe half a teaspoon, optional. (Salt is in the soy sauce, fish sauce, and buillion so use your own judgement. I like a low sodium soy sauce for this reason. ) 1 half teaspoon garlic powder and onion powder. black pepper to taste, optional. Optional: Marinate the chicken in a mixture of rice wine vinegar and baking soda for several hours. I don't measure but try a quarter cup of vinegar and 1 tablespoon baking soda. Rinse it off before use. Slice the chicken, garlic, and onion. Saute the chicken in oil until lightly browned. Add the onion and cook until soft. Add garlic and cook for another minute or two. You can add oil as you go if needed. If your saute sticks, add a small amount of water and stir immediately until unstuck and water cooks off. Scramble the egg in the center of the pan, add oil if pan is dry, use a bit of water to unstick if needed. Remove this mix to plate or bowl. You want it all out, so use a soft spatula. Meanwhile in a small pan, boil water and then add the rice. Cook for 90 seconds, then immediately rinse with cold water in a strainer. Put your frying pan back on the burner at medium heat. Add a tablespoon of oil. Fry the rice for 2 minutes, stirring regularly. Again, if you get any sticking add a tiny bit of water and stir until unstuck and water is absorbed. Now cover the rice on low heat. Cook for 5 to 6 minutes, stirring occasionally until you like the consistency. I was able to get a chewy al dente rice, like a brown rice in both texture and flavor. Now add the chicken mixture and sauce, mix and heat until combined and hot. You can always add your own spices and sauces. Forgot to add, you will want to eat the whole thing, but it can feed 2, especially if you add more veggies like celery. So measure out 3/4 of dry Aviate Lupin Rice to make a half recipe version. Cut the recipe in half. Save the other half for later. Saves money and is better portion control.

Excellent rice replacement only 3g.
I ordered the 3-pack of Aviate Keto Rice Orzo (to sample) and got only 1 package (dealing with Amazon/Aviate refund at the moment). At the time when I ordered the product, I went ahead and set up a Subscribe & Save order. ***IF*** the S&S order actually has 3 in the order, I will come back and change this rating to 5. 5, because this product is EXCELLENT for keto/low carb diets at 3g per 1/3 cup! Taste and texture is quite good, altho it's not quite "rice". Very close tho, and very tasty!

Overpriced - $10 for 8 oz bag - Tasteless and Gummy Texture Scorched $30 - 3 pak
AWFUL, tasteless with a pasty, gummy odd texture. I did add lots of herbs and spices to give it some flavor but still it is unpalatable. NO TASTE and an odd pasty, gummy texture. It does have a lot of protein and fiber, but I am NEVER EVER going to buy it again. Amazon does not allow returns for food groceries - so I just blew a whopping $30.00 on product I am going to give away to the Free Table in my apartment building. I added Coconut Aminos (like soy sauce) also garlic powder, rosemary, basil, oregano, chili flakes and some EVO. VERY EXPENSIVE $10.00 for just 8 oz bag is a whopping TWENTY DOLLARS A POUND - I can buy pasta made from chickpea garbonzo pea flour for 75% lower price I like gluten free pasta and have tried all the brands and Aviate Keto Rice Orzo is AWFUL AWFUL. I am sticking to the brand Banza chickpea pasta, far superior quality, great taste and 75% lower price than this inedible gunk! One star is far too high.

It's okay but not the best
This rice is okay, but texture is not good, I can't cook it too my desired consistency. I will eat it because I paid for it.

Amazing rice replacement!
FINALLY!! Someone does it right! This was my very first purchase of this product and I decided to try to make rice pilaf. I read through the reviews carefully to try to avoid some common issues and THIS is the formula to get the right texture: Follow the directions on the bag EXCEPT only boil for 1.5 minutes, not the 2-3 minute recommended cook time. For your sake I hope you don’t because this is a great low-carb rice alternative when cooked properly!

Great in soup
These are an excellent replacement for rice or noodles in soup or any dish, when you want to reduce carbs. They cook to the desired "bite", unlike some low carb pasta/rice replacements. They will get very soft if you cook them longer, but even when nearly mush, they still keep their shape until you begin to chew. They are a bit creamy when chewed, but not pasty. They take on the flavors of seasonings pretty well. And they are quite filling. A little pricey, but worth it for the better nutritional profile. Overall, a 5 star product that I recommend and will continue to purchase.

Very good keto friendly pasta
Been keto for almost 7 years. I watch my carb and calorie intake closely. These are excellent pasta substitute. Texture is a little chewier than regular pasta. A very neutral flavor- no weird aftertaste and no taste clashes with sauce. I have put these into my meal rotation and have these on reorder. They are very good. I find I prefer them cooked a minute or two longer than recommended on the package.

Great alternative to regular pasta
Cooks super fast... not perfect as it's a bit sticky but allows me to have pasta meals still. Low carb is a must for diabetes management and this fits the bill. Note it is much more filling than regular pasta so you won't need as much.

Great taste
I was skeptical at first, but they really taste great. Listed as "rice" but it is really a type of orzo pasta. Very good amount of fiber, and I dont get the carb crash like regular pasta.

Best low carb option i tried
This is by far the best low carbs alternative i tried so far. You will get a decent texture. Not flavourful and fluffy like A basmati but at least as a bite to it and not rubbery. High protein is an added bonus too. I wish the price would be more reasonable. 1 bad basically serves two people.
