Sturdy and well made.
Well I was very pleased I must say.I mainly shoot landscapes and nature but lately I have been shooting more video on the go with and RX10.The stabilisation is OK but you do need a tripod/monopod for some shots, especially when you get creative. This monopod suits me down to the ground for a number of reasons.Firstly it goes very high - giving me about 7-8ft height when I need it; plus the monopod is not that heavy that you cant lift and hold it it up for any length of time. The build quality is very good for the price; it may seem expensive, but its decent enough to justify it.The detachable tripod base is very usefu; for stand a lone shots and the fluid head locks and moves with ease creating some very smooth shots.Add to that a very decent carry case that goes over the shoulder nicely and this completes this rather excellent package. Its reliable enough for a lesser known name so dont worry!

The idea of a monopod that was cheaper whilst being lighter sounded great. Except the reality is that the monopod is ...
I've been agonising over the rating which I would say hovers between 2 & 3. In the end I've decided 3 is probably the fairest. At first glance you'd be forgiven in thinking this was a Manfrotto video monopod. Therefore I will compare it to the Manfrotto XPro from which the design has clearly been 'inspired' from. The MTT705B is carbon fibre whereas the Manfrotto XPro is not. The idea of a monopod that was cheaper whilst being lighter sounded great. Except the reality is that the monopod is only a tiny bit lighter. Not a huge lot in it.The clasps which allow you to make the monopod taller/shorter are fine. They feel solid enough. This monopod has a max height of 182cm whereas the Manfrotto goes to 203cm.You also get a nice bag to carry the monopod in which is a nice touch. The video head is very good. Feels just as smooth as the Manfrotto. The only difference is that you must release the plate by pressing the button on the side whereas the Manfrotto you can press the lever. It's a minor thing. The MTT705B takes the same Manfrotto PL plates. The fluid base is where things go very wrong. The base is simply too stiff. It's not very 'fluid' at all. When tilting the monopod, the feet can leave the floor. When turning it anticlockwise, the monopod can unscrew from the base. The only saving grace is that the monopod is stiff enough that you can literally leave a camera mounted on top upright and it won't fall over. Useful for those long boring wedding ceremonies. However, the new Manfrotto XPro has a locking mechanism on the foot so you can do the same thing. And that's smooth when you tilt it.Therefore given the price difference, whilst the Manfrotto is more money. I am convinced it is better value. I can't cope with the base unscrewing or the footage not being smooth because the foot is too stiff. Sadly I ended up returning it.

Broadcast Quality at Semi Pro cost
I work in the film and television industry and I can honestly say this product is of the same quality I am used to using of which cost in the thousands.Excellent quality materials, very light and strong, I would say broadcast qualityI would recommend

Legs fell off and got taken
It is a really good monopod but the legs fell off the second time I used it in Paris. However the seller replaced immediately and now working very well. A good professional monopod- highly recommend

Useless monopod
Considering the price you pay, this was absolutely useless. I bought this to use for wedding filming and the first time I used it the plate release failed on me and was stuck on the monopod meaning I couldn’t take of my camera and use it elsewhere.I was stuck for filming at this wedding because this monopod never worked

Good monopod but needs to be cheaper as it has negatives.
On the whole, not bad, but there are some negatives.1. It’s not much lighter if at all lighter than the manfrotto equivalent.2. The mounting plate is a bit fiddly. The screw gets stuck on the mounting plate and it marked it before I had even mounted my camera.3. The paint and finish is pretty cheap and looks like it’s been used even though it was new. However the positive are below.1. Strong and sturdy design with easy lock mechanism to hold the monopod in position.2. Fluid head is as good as the manfrotto fluid head and allows for smooth motion.3. Legs fold down easily and the monopod extends to a good height.4. I used the monopod extended to pan over a crowd of people and all was ok. Felt solid and strong.Unfortunately I’m returning mine as I want to be able to easily unmount and mount my camera.

Manfrotto Rip-Off
This is a cheaply made Manfrotto rip-off which I bought totally by accident. DO NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE. I am a pro photographer and videographer and I would not trust my client's needs to this piece of equipment.

Una maravilla
Me ha parecido fantástico. Robusto, buena calidad y acabados.
