it is a deodorant for dogs, but having a good smell, yes, you can also spray it on the sawdust

Would this item be suitable for using on a remote control to stop my dog chewing it?

As this spray is to make your pet smell nice after it had rolled in something nasty. I can’t see how it would work, I would go for a citrus/vinegar rub or rubbing a hot pepper over it but don’t forget and rub your eyes after holding the remote.
