This is a brilliant coat. It’s coming to the end of a long wet winter and I was fed up getting soaked walking the dog whilst wearing supposedly waterproof coats, with hoods that are noisy, ill-fitting and fly off in a headwind. I nearly convinced myself that I needed an expensive B***er coat and was in the process of tracking one down on the Internet, when I came across this. I read all of the reviews and as a consequence ordered the coat size small, which is one size smaller than I would normally wear. I am 5ft 8in tall, 40in chest. The coat is still generous in its sizing, but is very comfortable and I could wear it with thick jumpers in the height of winter, or with a jacket underneath if wanted to. I christened the coat on this mornings dog walk in the rain and was very pleased with my purchase. I shall take the wife out tomorrow lunchtime for some posh nosh with the money I have saved. It is well made and extremely good value for money in my honest opinion. Like others have said, buy one size smaller than you would normally buy would be my top tip, as the generous sizing is in the overall width and length not the sleeve length; size small was a perfect sleeve length for me. Might not be as fashionable as a well known alternative, but for what I wanted it for it wins hands down.

I have been buying wax cotton clothing for over 50 years and this product is one of the best I have bought in that time. It's well made good price should last years. Ps +it's British made witch is rare these days can't say more

Warm stylish and comfy. Not too heavy and very good for rainy batterings. Good length too.

My husband loves this coat fit was spot on he says it’s warm and doesn’t make you sweat, he needed a coat like this for walking the dog what with the weather being bad it is waterproof and not too heavy although lining isn’t thick or the length of the coat , but it is a lovely coat nonetheless

Many reviews I saw prior to purchasing said to order a smaller size as they were large, I ignored this and bought an XL (my chest size 38/40) just as well as I needed to wear a fleece under it to keep warm when walking the dog. The item is not that thick and does not have a warm lining, the lining is the low point of this item being very thin. The zip is difficult to fit in for closure and the chin strap is too short and is impossible to clip. However the waxed outer is good and will probably keep the wind and rain out it is a good length and the hood is good leaving enough space for a warm hat underneath. The waxed finish is good, not smelly and does not come off on other clothing.

Lovely, long sleeves, roomy, great quality! I really love it! Yet to wear it out in the rain but looking forward to doing so. I bought a L. I’m 5ft 8 and a dress size 14. A smaller size would’ve been too tight around my chest.

Bought this as zip on old coat broke - ordered this and arrived the next day having paid for express delivery. It is quite long and generous fitting but as the snow arrived was a great purchase. It kept me warm and dry even during blizzard like conditions! Will be very useful as will keep me dry when weather wet when I am walking the dog. Would recommend if you are outdoors in bad weather but not necessarily as a fashion coat!
