My fav for the price!
10/10 love these espresso pods! They taste great in lattes, iced or hot! I've put some of them on top of ice cream 😍😍 amazing flavor! I wish they didn't sell out so fast when they go on sale 😭 They taste so smooth, some are a little more acidic than others, but if you pair the taste profile of the espresso with a flavor that goes along with it, it's amazing!

Everyone loves them
We love these!! I have a nice espresso machine that requires a lot to get set up to pull shots from so I use Nespresso pods unless we have guests over who want me to use the big espresso machine. These pods taste great! They are compatible with the machine and with perfectly. There are varying strengths which I appreciate. None of them are bitter or burnt. The texture is lovely and smooth. They're easy to use. At about 26 to 36 cents a piece, these are a great deal and so so convenient. The caffeine content per pod seems to be about how much I'd get from a cup of regular coffee. I hear up some milk and pour one of these right over. Add some sweetener and you have a really good cup of coffee. If you want to add flavor, buy yourself flavored syrups like yours find them using at a cafe or use baking extracts if you don't want to add sweetener. As a treat, try pulling one of these right over some vanilla or coffee icecream (afogato). I see only two potential issues with these: doesn't come with any decaf variety AND you can't tell what they are if you use pod storage and get rid of the boxes. I'm going to need to draw up a color coded chart so they know what kind they're getting. But really love these. As a former barista, these taste amazing for the price.

Really Good Coffee and a Great Deal
I’ve been really happy with these Café Romano espresso pods. The coffee tastes strong and smooth without being too bitter, and the variety pack is nice because you can switch it up depending on your mood. They work perfectly in my Nespresso Original machine and honestly taste way better than I expected for the price. I’ve tried a lot of off-brand pods and some taste watered down, but these actually have good flavor. Also, getting 100 pods for the price feels like a really good deal. Definitely something I’d buy again.

Maybe I’m a coffee snob?
I think overall it is a good quality coffee, but it just wasn’t the flavor notes that I prefer. I pushed myself through half of the pack and then shared the rest with friends and family. I drink it because I paid for it and didn’t want to waste anything but I wouldn’t buy it again.

Dizzy, Nauseous; Contamination Concern
Like another reviewer here, I've strangely been having unusual bouts of dizziness and nausea since I've started drinking these, the past month. I've been an all-day espresso (and nespresso) drinker for two decades and always drink several (dark roast, strong) per day with zero "side effects." The first week I started drinking these, I had a full on vertigo episode 10 minutes after my noon lungo. (Haven't had vertigo in a decade.) I was baffled and dismissed it, but have subsequently been consistently observing, like the other reviewer, palpable dizziness and upset stomach whenever I drink these, but zero of that when I drink another brand, instead. That's completely abnormal for me. Reading the other review here that mentions dizziness, nausea, feeling strange sealed the deal, compelled me to write this and validate her review with my own, similar experience and knowledge. Here's what I know: organic or not, coffee is widely-known to be one of the moldiest crops in the world. Most manufacturers take great care in preventing (microscopic, usually invisible to naked eye) spores, growth on both beans and grounds through strict vacuum sealing, moisture and temperature controlled storage. Mold is a potent neurotoxin that impacts the central nervous system, which includes vestibular function, and mold mycotoxin exposure can cause dizziness and nausea, known side effects. (USDA certification does not test for or regulate mold/fungal growth on products, including imports, not part of the certification process. Manufacturer has to test, regulate this quality control, in-house. Google Dave Asprey/Bulletproof Diet to learn all about mold in coffee and its unhealthy effects that can undo the benefits.) Second, the standards for USDA organic are the lowest in the world, and it doesn't mean the product is chemical-free. Shockingly, USDA allows organic producers to use glycosphate aka Round-Up and other chemical herbicide/insecticides that are caustic, confirmed carcinogens and anything but organic, in "emergencies." I learned this from three long-time, local commercial organic farmers who said "This means, to cut costs, because organic prevention/treatments are so much more costly and Round-Up is cheaper, almost all organic farmers use it regularly on crops. It's the dirty secret of USDA organic. Most consumers have no idea. Unless the farm is local and you know the actual farmer and can go there yourself and ask them about their practices and confirm they don't use it, use alternatives--I can guarantee you that 98% of organic farmers are soaking those crops in chemicals just like the traditional ones. You're just paying more for the name organic. The USDA allows it, does not regulate it. They'll give the organic certification to any food producer that is willing to pay them several thousand dollars per year, to get it." These are the facts. High quality coffee doesn't make you dizzy, nauseous, feel ill or strange. I purchased these because they were "organic" and I'm always trying to find the cleanest coffee I can. (Try Bulletproof caps, they're tested to be glycosphate & mold-free, just expensive & Amazon will no longer ship to my area. Don Fernando also makes an organic cap, but it's a light roast.) I was amazed at the low price for the amount of boxes here, but it turns out the old sayings hold true that you get what you pay for, and if it seems too good to be true--it usually is. Something's missing in the equation here to make these so cheap; costs are getting cut somewhere and so is purity and quality. Coffee in it's cleanest form is a beneficial health beverage. Consumers must practice caution with imports by unknown brands. Things from Europe are usually more expensive, not less. Two reviewers reporting symptoms, significant side-effects = cause for concern. It's better to drink a non-organic but still cleaner, domestic, established, tried and true brand. Verdict: steer clear of these. With two reviews noting side-effects, this brand should have multiple batches tested for contamination by a certified facility that confirms purity, and publish the notarized MSDS (material safety & data sheets) documents in the images to verify product safety for consumers.

Flavorful and Smooth!
Amazingly good coffee! I have now used 3 of the 5 varieties in this pack and was amazed at how smooth and flavorful each one has been. NO BITTERNESS!! I have used dozens of other pods from Starbucks, Lavazza and many many other brands in US and Europe, but I cannot get over how smooth and tasty these coffees are. I'm hooked! And from Italy and organic are both big plusses as well. Lastly, price is excellent. Have I died and gone to Nespreso heaven?!?!?!

Good Coffee Good Price
These pods are my husband and my favorite pods. They brew good strong coffee with good flavor and are compatible with our original nespresso machine. They have always been sealed well and fresh and are well worth the money at one third the cost of nespresso brand pods. I love that they are organic and the boxes have lovely artwork on them. We do occasionally get a dud pod that is either dented or overfilled leading to burnt coffee, but they are few and far between. I think the quality for the price is definitely worth it.

Average flavor, good price
I've tried dozens of 3rd party Nespresso pods to find the elusive cheaper but better pod. Few make the cut. This one does not. But, I would say the flavor here is average. It is definitely not the worst I've tried. That's a win for cheap pods. I have a variety pack with strengths of 4 through 10, and there really isn't much difference. They all have a grassy burnt bitterness. Maybe the 8 is the smoothest? Verdict: Since there are a thousand off brand pods, I will probably continue my journey. But these aren't a bad choice on my price/imitation-of-Nespresso scale, as the price is fairly low and the flavor is average. And if they really are organic...plus a good-fitting aluminum pod.

Smooth and rich
Really impressed with Café Romano coffee capsules. The flavor is smooth, rich, and well-balanced without being too bitter. It tastes like proper café-quality coffee at home, and the consistency is great in every cup. Definitely worth buying again!
