Nothing petroleum as far as I can tell and loads of essential oils. A very small amount goes a long way. I am washing my hair every other day and I have used 3 bottles in a year or more. Also I have a kind of eczema on my scull and it has helped to reduce the symptoms

my hair is dry yet i have an itchy scalp?

This shampoo did not personally work for me as it left my hair very greasy after a few washes and made the itching of my scalp worse. I would recommend the body shop ginger shampoo or L’Oréal ever pure sulphate free shampoo as it leaves your hair clean but doesn’t use harsh chemicals on your scalp which may be irritated by other shampoos.
