The only reason it gets 4 stars instead of 5 is they still smell of vinyl years later. And that's on a window that faces south (no direct sun at all). So if you are sensitive to these sorts of smells, I do *not* recommend putting them in sun-facing windows; the heat will release even more of the smell molecules.Helpful tip:When installing, make sure the edges of the film do not touch the edges of your window. There must be some amount of gap, otherwise the edges will lift up and it'll look bad. When I installed mine, I measured the window several times for certainty. Then I used those measurements to cut a piece of cardboard to size so I could use it as a guide when cutting the actual film. Tools were a utility knife, a T-square (or similar), and an art desk with a lip at the bottom to hold the vinyl straight. Slide the knife along the edge of the t-square for a straight line; do not cut with scissors. When I did it this way, it came out perfectly. I'm still surprised by how good of a job it did.
