It’s easy to handle. Very easy to set up and use. Very Quiet. The instructions were easy to follow. It started up on one pull of the cord, It was so quiet I didn’t realize it had started on the first pull. This was purchased for traveling about . Nice and small and light. The price was excellent . Can’t wait for my next trip…***Update:update:update.*** Not very happy with their customer support been trying to order extra spare parts but unable to . Website they provide for parts ordering doesn’t work . Ordering form doesn’t recognize the part numbers that’s supplied in the manual . When called all you get is a tape recording to leave a callback number. But nobody calls back. I’ve tried locally to get parts but but can’t find other brands that cross match the original . The gen. Starts great right now but when it’s time to replace plugs, filters etc. then what. Growing up Westinghouse house was a well respected brand but now I don’t feel like they care about their customers . So do more research on this before buying. If this issue is resolved I’ll Re update this review. John M.

Great. Light weight, quiet, and compact.

The manual & features are very good. It started on the first pull, as was ready to power quickly. I hooked up to my RV and ran the lights , refrigerator, and battery charging. ECO mode worked to slow and quiet the engine a bit.

This generator is lighter and quieter than I expected. It appears to be designed and manufactured well. Tiny negative: I am concerned that the plastic fastener tabs on the engine cover will break off; they don't look beefy enough to last for the life of the generator. (This cover needs to be removed to check the oil level.) The generator is about twice as noisy as I recall the Honda 1000W generator to be. I chose this generator mainly for the promised 12 hour run time. This review is based on running the unit for about 20 minutes at 500W load. I have (and am currently) running the generator with 1/2 load (500W). It's been running for four hours. Fuel consumption appears to be very good. Negatives: CO sensor is too sensitive; it shut off, apparently because a light breeze was blowing the exhaust back into the back of the unit. Could be a problem if wind direction is variable. Also, the screw holding the choke knob vibrated out within one hour of running. I very nearly lost the tiny screw among dirt and leaves. The CO led says "see action label" but I couldn't find any such label so had no idea how to reset the CO sensor to get the unit working again. (The RESET button doesn't seem to do anything.) It finally timed out after about 10 minutes. Near a picnic table, this unit is noisy and stinky. I'm happy mainly because fuel consumption looks very good. (Runtime is what I care about most.)

Awesome. Super light and super quiet

I bought the Westinghouse 1500 Peak Watt Generator expecting it to be a reliable unit for camping, and at first, it actually performed well. It started easily, ran smoothly, and handled light loads without any issues. For the short time it worked, I was genuinely satisfied with its performance. Unfortunately, that didn’t last. After roughly one season of very light use, around 20 total hours, the engine seized up completely. This was especially frustrating because I followed all recommended maintenance. I changed the oil after the break-in period, used high-quality synthetic oil, and always stored the generator indoors when it wasn’t in use. It was never abused or overworked. Given how carefully it was maintained and how little it was used, a failure this severe is hard to overlook. A generator like this should last significantly longer than 20 hours.

It is a quiet and very practical generator. It weighs nothing and is easy to turn on. I was able to connect several household appliances at the same time. It worked very well with the refrigerator, giving the possibility of also connecting fans and lamps. I love this generator.

After looking into a battery power station option I found that this generator was a much better option. My largest concern was for a small adult with a previous neck injury being able to start it. When we tried it they had no issues. It was very easy to start and operate even in the dark with the LEDs lighting the main panel. I use it for powering outdoor lights for 1 to 2 hours a few nights a week. Given the steady power draw I can switch on the Eco Mode that makes it run quieter over and less revving of the engine. Since it's so fuel efficient, the gas tank is small. Just add fuel slowly to prevent overfilling. Adding oil was easy too and you can see right into the pan through the hole which helps in addition to the dipstick. While not intended to be rained on, the case design shields the control panel and there's a tray around the gas cap to catch overflow. I found this generator could support my 5x my wattage requirements and run for up to 12 hours vs my 200 watt requirement over 2 hours not quite being met for a similarly priced power station.
