If you angle it just right, it could. It would be diffused though because the reflective part isn't solid and the reflective surface angle will vary throughout. I might try this in the winter, I have a brick wall that blocks most of the sunlight on several plants when the sun comes around at a lower angle. In the summer I'm only worried about blocking the sun & heat which this is great for. **Q: There is a dull and shiny side - is the shiny the most reflective? and should be on the outside?
