I impulse bought this, and thought it may be a waste of money - who needs such an expensive bin for cat poop? But it is the best thing i ever bought as a cat owner. Makes cleaning litter boxes so much easier and more convenient. Only gripe is that the branded refill cartridges are so expensive - you can buy cheap refill bags to stick in the origninal bag cartridge

Edit: still going strong a year and a bit later! It did need a good clean after a while as the smells did start to leak out a bit; but since giving it a good clean and disinfect it’s great again. I wanted to write a review after having the LitterGenie for just over 2 weeks with one bag change - I may update later down the line if there's anything that causes me to change my mind. I can honestly say this has been a gamechanger. In any normal bin, the inside of the bin would start to absolutely reek and leak to the outside - which happened with our previous workaround which was a small bin outside. But with the LitterGenie there truly is no smell at all. I do think the bags may be the main reason for this, but the whole bin and the ease of use is great. I am a little worried about the price of the refills, but I would say it genuinely does hold up to two weeks of litter (both number 1 clumps and number 2) so I'm really happy. I no longer have to go outside I can just pop it in the LitterGenie. Also to add - when changing the bag, the way the bin is designed means that no smell escapes either - a worry I had from a previous review I'd seen, but basically it clamps the bag closed and you can just use the internal cutter to cut the bag. It looks neat and isn't overly huge, and the scoop & scoop holder is great. I do think it's quite expensive for what it is, especially with the refills being needed later on, but in my opinion it's a worthwhile investment!

I don't usually leave reviews for products but felt the need to give this one a good review so others know. It does the job and it does it well. I have two ragdolls and live in an apartment. I really didn't want to put cat poop and pee in my bin in the kitchen. This locks away the odours really well and it's not at all difficult to use. The refills are a bit on the expensive side but they do last a decent amount of time. I wouldn't be without Litter Genie now. Fantastic product.

This is a great product…keeps all the smell in and doesn’t need changing too often. Would’ve given 5 stars but the refills are super expensive!

I've had to move, at very short notice, to a very small space with my outdoor cat. I love him more than anything, but his poops and pees are stinky. No matter how much I cleaned his tray, it reeked. I saw this and hmmed and hawed and eventually gave in and bought it. It's a bit fiddly to set up, but once you've done it, I'm certain that refilling it won't be an issue because you can understand the process. It's discreet, easy to use and comes with a scoop you can pop on either side. Now, let me tell you: I am SO HAPPY I ordered this. I don't have to head to the big bin multiple times a day, once I have scooped his poop and pee, I just shut the lid, pull the lever and cannot smell anything. It's great. I have recommended this to everyone I know who has a cat. Is it expensive? Yes, I paid about £40 for it, but in my opinion, it's worth it. The smell is gone, I make fewer trips to the big bin and both me and my boy can enjoy our space together.

The Litter Genie has been excellent. It's simple to use and more effective than a basic bin at keeping odours away. It makes the clean up process easy as it sits perfectly next to the litter box. Emptying after 2 weeks is an easy process. Just flip the lid, use the fixed bag cutter, tie and throw away. Simple! It cuts down on plastic bag waste as one bag of waste litter every 2 weeks is a lot less plastic bags thrown away and they are also strong and secure. If dealing with the litter box is a chore then get this to make things easier!

Very good purchase for some one in a first floor flat with an indoor cat.

Love this! I have three Indoor cats so that’s six poos a day and rather than bag them up and chuckthem out (and risk the kitten running out) I bought this device. It’s amazing. So easy to set up and use and it really holds the smell in. I do wash the scoop frequently and the kitten likes to sit at the sink and watch! My only gripe is the price of the refills so as I’ve just emptied it for the first time, I’m trying a hack to save on buying refills too often. It involves a clip and a carrier bag. We shall see. I’ll still love it even if the hack doesn’t work!

Im very disappointed, it came without the top lid or shovel. There should not be any missing parts

I love this bin. I have 2 cats that go to the toilet twice a day and their toilet stinks. This is perfect to have in the house especially at night when I don’t want to go outside. I really only clean it every fortnight (but could go longer) and I never smell anything when I add more each day. I do wish it was bigger and there is a bigger version of this but it had bad reviews so I went with this model. I love it and highly highly recommend.

What I Like - I’ve always been a huge fan of these type of litter disposal units since they’ve been a thing. After trying the other brand and having that last a long time, and also trying a Diaper Genie, I decided to try this Litter Genie Plus Pail. I was surprised at how well made it is. Functionality is top notch and it’s extremely easy to use. The refills are easy to install and there’s lots of room inside. The built in blade is always a plus and makes cutting the bag easy when it’s time to throw it out. I had no need for the scoop itself but it’s well made for plastic, but I have a metal scoop and much prefer that. A really good value and made the switch worth it to me. It works extremely well at keeping the odors of used litter inside the pail. What I Don’t Like - Nothing yet.

I really wish I didn't like this, that I could go back to a standard garbage can with any dog poop bag.... but I can't go back. I just bought my third litter genie so I can have one next to each litter station. It's just so convenient and really keeps odours locked in.

Un producto que uso diario desde hace casi un año. Me siento muy feliz de haber hecho esta compra, lo vale 100%. No tengo ninguna filtración de malos olores gracias a esto! Súper fácil de armar, de usar, muy fácil de cargar, de hacer el cambio de bolsas. Cumple lo que promete. Si tienes alergias o eres sensible a olores, con este bote, las bolsas, un arenero cerrado y una buena arena es súper posible tener un gatito y no sufrir por mal olor! Recomiendo 100%
