Construction and materials quite good. Instructions great except that the plastic dome that sits at the bottom of the pole is tricky and they don’t tell you that. The top opening of the dome is asymmetrical (as is the pole, altho it’s not readily apparent) and they have to match or the pole won’t go all the way down. I highly recommend lubricating the top/side opening (I used white grease) so that the top swivels easily. Operation is smooth and intuitive. Closing it every night or when it’s esp windy is no big deal at all. Definitely easier than my standard table umbrella bc for that one I need a stool to reach the button that tips and straightens it.
