Rangemaster Classic 55 90 110 Genuine Oven Cooker Motor Complete Unit

Seems to be a perfect replacement for our noisy side oven fan (which is also same as main oven so may buy another one in next few weeks) which after 16 years decided enough was enough, for a Rangemaster Classic 90 dual fuel. Replacing is very easy, hardest part is removing the screws on the backing plate as these tend to rust up after so long. As has been mentioned elsewhere, keep the three small nuts that hold the motor secure from the inside of the oven as this part does not come with these strangely, otherwise working fine so far.

First product arrived on time no identification to say this part is a rangemaster genuine part. On removal of old part some differences were noted such as wiring termination were different the fan blade nut was of a larger size than the original one and the design had changed from a circlip on the motor shaft to a sturdy plain boss which the fan blade rest on, so where the old motor had a plain washer each side of the fan blade this had a fixed boss and the fan blade on the new motor just relied on the securing nut to hold the blade on the shaft as there is not enough thread in the nut to fit a plain washer behind the nut. Product only rates three stars because fan blade does not fit on shaft in squarely and runs out of true by at least 2mm, old blade fitted to shaft runs true but as the new fan blade was designed and balanced for new motor was fitted and the run out cannot be corrected as 'D' cut out punched in the fan blade only allows the blade to fit in one position.I would not recommend this motor with fan blade as being genuine as there is no identification on packaging or item and for fan blade to run out of square does not look like a product manufactured by Rangemaster

Motor arrived in a couple of days. It looked identical to the one it replaced. It came with all the fittings except the actual fixing screws, but I just used the original ones so that wasn't a problem. So far (a month later) it seems to be working perfectly. I cannot be sure that it is a genuine Rangemaster part though, as there are no markings or branding on the part. All in all I'm very happy.

This item is made well and is easy to install. One small thing to remember, it does not come with the 3 small bolts required to hold this item, which fir on the housing bolts. So when you remove the old one make sure you keep them, they do fit perfectly. Otherwise great piece of kit.

Easy to fit about 30mins good idea to renew heater element as well (save old element if ok for a spare) don’t forget to make a note of wiring and the fan nut is left hand .. all good for a rangemaster classic 90 ..18yrs old

Easy to fit after I had managed to get the oven out - the online instructions were very straightforward.

The great thing about the Rangemaster is that it has readily available spares at a reasonable price which are very easy to fit. The videos online show you how to change the fan motor and are very good. Our fan motor bearings went after twenty years of daily service and the new motor will give us another twenty years of service.
