Review: Great product, and it really works!!! - Wow this stuff is magic! I've used a lot of leather cleaner and lotion on my bags and this is probably one of the best I've tried. Used this on three purses and a pair of boots. The boots had spots on them and were dull and faded. The straight cleaner seemed to fade the stains to nearly gone and the moisturizer blended them in and added a lustrous glow. After I buffed the leather, they had a nice, mellow shine. One purse had major body/hand oils on the handle, which turns out is not a good thing for leather. Using the straight cleaner lightened it up a shade and lightened some of the stains on the body of the purse a bit. The other purses weren't in bad shape, so I didn't use the cleaner on them, only the moisturizing lotion. They did benefit greatly from the lotion, and again, it gave them a nice, mellow sheen. Comes with an applicator pad (fabric and foam, like a car wax pad, but nicer). It's a good idea not to use too much of the conditioner…just as much as you need and then maybe 2-3 times a year, or as needed. The odor of the lotion is wonderful. It smells like almond milk and is really quite mild on the hands too. I highly recommend this product for all leather. It's wonderful and really does work!!!
Review: two bottles of magic potion--best leather cleaner and conditioner i've used - i bought both the conditioner and the cleaner, although to date i have just used the former. A day or so after i bought it i applied a small amount of conditioner to a pair of $700 boots. I had planned to apply a full coat once i determined that the stuff didn't do any harm and that it worked. Indeed it did--so much so that haven't needed the second coat. More than anything that is what impressed me--it works quickly and efficiently. It took me 10 minutes to apply it to a pair of Frye harness boots and i used maybe one teaspoon for each boot. Any product, i don't care how good it works, if it is difficult or time-consuming to use, i'll probably never use it. For this product, no special applicator required; i don't have to mix it with another liquid, no multiple coats, etc.--dead simple and it works. my boots were, when new, a light carmel color, and applying any leather conditioner will inevitably darken the leather. This product did make them darker but only slightly--far less than a light coat of mink oil.

**Q: Does it work for ink stains on purses?**
A: Hello Lucy,Thanks for messaging! Ink stains are pretty tough to get out. Depending on the type of leather and how long the ink stain has been present, you can probably get it out with a few treatments from Straight Cleaner. If the stain has been around a while, you might need to look into a heavy duty cleaner like the kind Advanced Leather Solutions sells, or look into a professional cleaner. If you have any rubbing alcohol around, you can test to see whether it pulls any ink out. If the ink is still somewhat loose, you should see a small amount come out, at which point Straight Cleaner should get the job done very well for you. Hope this helps!

**Q: Does this work on King Ranch Leather?**
A: Randy, I am not sure what King Ranch leather is, but I assume it is the leather interior in Ford King Rancher truck.  Without being familiar with the truck or the type of leather, my best answer is that it depends.  If the leather is heavily protected (shiny polymer clear coat), the milk will not be very helpful; however, if the leather is aniline (natural looking and feeling leather) Chamberlains provides unrivaled cleaning and conditioning.  Judging by some pictures on the web, I believe the leather inside the King Ranch Ford to be more of the aniline variety.  I hope this helps.

**Q: will this take salt stains off of black leather?**
A: Yes, you will want to do a test in a discreet area first with both formulas, to be sure you are gonna be pleased with the results. Start with the #2 Straight Cleaner, this will seep deep into the pores of your leather, giving you an extra edge in your fight with the leather salt stain. Apply after your leather dries, and you’ll want to test it in a discreet area first (don’t use on suede). If your leather likes it, wipe it into the surface thinly and evenly, and then clean off any residue. Then allow the leather to dry in a cool, clean area away from sunlight and heat. Remember that using heat as a drying treatment is a bad idea, so don’t go putting it in the sunlight or under a blow dryer. That’s hurts your leather’s integrity (and may even shrink it). Wow this stuff is magic! I've used a lot of leather cleaner and lotion on my bags and this is probably one of the best I've tried. Used this on three purses and a pair of boots. The boots had spots on them and were dull and faded. The straight cleaner seemed to fade the stains to nearly gone and the moisturizer blended them in and added a lustrous glow. After I buffed the leather, they had a nice, mellow shine. One purse had major body/hand oils on the handle, which turns out is not a good thing for leather. Removes grime and restores leather without excessive shine, unlike the cheap stuff. The "buy more than you need" message is a little obnoxious, but the product is worth it to get leather belts, wallets, jackets & bags looking great.
