Works as intended.
A fairly cheap item and works as intended (note the limitations of this type of tester as it can't detect reversed neutral and earth cables) and I was encouraged when the person who came to fit a smart meter shortly after purchase used an identical tester to check a socket before plugging in the smart in-home display.

Does what it should, reliable & robust.

Does The Job But...
This will tell you if you have power or various combinations of crossed mains wires etc and works OK but I wish I had bought the version with the buzzer. With an audible warning if there is power to the socket I do not have to keep checking at the consumer unit. Apart from that it is handy, sturdy and small enough to have in your tool bag.
