Turns on when you open the probe and it takes good readings. I have used it a few times and seems accurate. Easy to read too. Seems well made. Overall, a pretty good items at a good price.

The thermometer is a good hand size, with great functionality. I love being able to extend it out or fold it up for storage purposes. The price was right on point, with a good value for the product. I have gotten it wet multiple times and have not had any issues, though granted, I did not dunk it in the soapy water either. The waterproof status is still up in the air. However, the readability is extremely clear with a option for a backlight if needed. The ease of use is good, as you just start pressing buttons until one works if your hands are full and you just need the darn thing to work for you. In that way, the functionality works great. The display size is large enough to see without squinting, making this one happy cook. There are magnets on the back, however it does not stick onto my fridge or my oven when other magnets do just fine. It might be that there's a good heft to the product, and that is why it starts sliding immediately. So far, I have been using this product for a month and it has been very responsive. There is a slight rattle inside, which I wonder about, but it has not caused any problems and functionality. I go through cooking thermometers like candy, because of the lack of battery life. Here's hoping this one lasts a bit longer than the others, but I do have to note that the battery compartment on this looks much more user friendly than other models I have used in the past. When the display starts dimming, I am much more likely to replace the battery then the other pass models I have tried. Happy cooking!

I have a 15 year old meat thermometer that is bulky, needs batteries and was not very quick reading or accurate. I recently ordered a different brand meat thermometer for its super fast 0.5 seconds instant reading. However that thermometer did not have the temperature instructions on it like this AWLKIM version has. To me that is a real positive with the AWLKIM. I like that the probe folds away for easy storage unlike my 15 year old version. It also has a nice large backlit LCD screen which lights up and is easy to read. Ii is waterproof IP67-rated and seems very easy to clean. I kept the fast reading version which has USB charging and bought this as a gift for my son who was really excited since he has always wanted one of these. The only negative is that it is battery operated instead of USB charging and CR2032 batteries are not cheap.

I will be honest, I was a bit nervous getting this digital thermometer. However, I am now a huge fan! It is super easy to read, even has a button for a light to allow better visibility. Changing the battery will be a breeze with the battery cap on the backside with guides to ensure you can open and recluse it properly. I highly recommend this! I've used it for my baked goods, including sourdough bread, rolls, and brownies. It also reads meats and liquids accurately and quickly. The price points is very reasonable, stores well in my gadgets drawer. I appreciate the quality of how well it's made and ease of use.

So far its works great. The only thing I was slightly disappointed with was when I read instant I had thought it would be a quick warm-up to the temperature of whatever Im cooking, but it is pretty slow moving to get a temp read. I wasnt going to take any stars away for this though because for the price, it works great and I would probably need to spend a bit more to get what I was really looking for. But overall, its easy to use, the light is nice and bright, and I've so far had no issues with moisture.

I find this doesnt worm as well as my previous ones , it has to go on much deeper and is not great for burgers and flatter items. Throwing it out
