I bought these back in July. I tied about 500 pieces of rebar with them. One broke last week and the other broke today.

As soon as I opened the package, the smell hit me. These wire twisters smell like they’ve been dipped in diesel. And for whatever reason, the tail hooks aren’t even installed. I thought they were missing, but they were simply lost in the packaging. They were simple enough to install, but shouldn’t be necessary.

I ordered these because we have a black chain link fence that surrounds our subdivision and those of us who back up to it must maintain our own section. Apparently, a deer or two became frightened by something and literally busted up about twenty feet of fence in a back corner of our lot. Literally broke some of the wires that secure the links to the top rail. I ordered these to enable me to pull the links up to the rail while we re-attach them to the rails. This is perfect for the job.What you cannot see in the link is how strong this thing is. It is really sturdy. The hook at the top will pull out about 5 inches and there is a rather strong spring within the unit that will pull it back into place once you remove the tension. And, if you need to pull wire into place and wind it, the hook will rotate while securing the wire. Truthfully, I can see a lot more uses for this than just pulling wire. I can recall so many times trying to "pull" something into place or back into place using pliers or needle-nose pliers. There will be a lot of instances where this will be a much better tool for that. And, you get two of them in the pack.
