Excellent release
As a devoted Batman fan, I was thrilled to dive into this 4K Ultra-HD Blu-ray trilogy. Christopher Nolan’s masterful direction, Christian Bale’s brooding portrayal of the Caped Crusader, and Heath Ledger’s iconic Joker performance make this collection an absolute must-have for any cinephile. Pros: Stunning Visuals: The 4K upgrade breathes new life into Gotham City, revealing intricate details in every frame. Engaging Storytelling: Each film weaves a complex narrative, exploring Batman’s inner struggles, villains’ motivations, and the blurred line between hero and vigilante. Unforgettable Characters: Ledger’s Joker steals the show, but Gary Oldman’s Commissioner Gordon and Michael Caine’s Alfred add depth to the ensemble. Cons: Runtime: Be prepared for a marathon—each film is over two hours long. But trust me, it’s worth every minute. Whether you’re a seasoned Bat-fan or a newcomer to Gotham, The Dark Knight Trilogy is a cinematic triumph that deserves a prime spot in your Blu-ray collection.

A Great 4K Box Set with a few minor set backs by the Studio
I won't go into full detials about the films as many rightly hail this as one of the best trilogies ever made. Beautifully shot with some incredible acting and amazing in camera set pieces with an Epic story in each chapter these films still continue to challange not just comic book movies but movies in general. These 4K discs now show the films as they were meant to be seen. I never was 100% satisfied with the blu rays espcially The Dark Knight with its changed color timing, digital sharpening, grain reduction and overcranked contrast that lost detail in the highlights and black levels were overdone completely ruining the look of the film, Only Rises on Blu Ray was the best looking but still had some issues with overdone saturation in some skin tone scenes. Now these 4K transfers (which were supervised by Nolan himself) really do shine. Each film is now close as possible to their Theatrical experience and I saw these films a few times on release and remember how gorgeous they looked and now each film finally feels like you're watching a print.... I do mean that as Nolan has chosen to use the interpositive and not the original negative. While some maybe surprised by this these really will be noticeable to those who remember or love the look of film and will feel as if it is projected in the home as Nolan intended. Batman Begins will look the least sharp for these reasons.... Batman Begins was shot on 35mm film with Anamorphic Lenses (except for Ariel shots and model shots) and thse are the classic lenses from the decades before and with the film trying to use practical lighting means having a wide aperture on these lenses will give a slightly softer look. Also the film was pushed in numerous scenes and had a bleach bypass process hence the softer look. This has now all been retained in the 4K that gives an excellent presentation of the film and if you are someone who understands the film chemical process you will be more surprised that it looks better then it should and is much brighter and more vivid than the blu ray and while the color timing was not as overdone as the The Dark Knight it's now how it should look. Overall a fantastic filmic transfer..... However in terms of transfers The Dark Knight and Rises are beyond excelent and are real Demo Worthy discs with incredible details thanks largely to using IMAX 70mm film which is still the best quality for both resolution and colour density with super fine film grain that almost looks non existent and added detail to the image. The 35mm anamorphic segements are thanks to the films using the then newer Kodak Vision 3 5219 film stock which handles detail in light and shadows better and has richer colour also Nolan was then now respected and probably had the studio and labs treating his films better then before. The Dark Knight finally looks how it should as with all the problems I mentioned before are now fixed and one can appreciate how beautiful the colours and shadow and highlight details are, no longer are windows in daylight scenes blown out but now you can see a detailed Gotham (Chicago) in full detail. Rises looks just phenomenal with the minor issues of skin tones fixed looking less Orange/Reddish then before as well as black levels are handled batter overall. It is the best looking but all 3 films match really well with Begins having an Amber tone, Dark Knight with Cyan and Rises with Cobalt as they were intended. These films now are the best they have looked for the home and are as I said some of the most filmic modern transfers for 4K with excellent colour, HDR and detail. In terms of Audio all 3 films have their original 5.1 mixes in high quality DTS. Some maybe disappointed they are not in 7.1 Atmos but these are in their orignal audio (with maybe the exception of the 3rd film) and some forget 5.1 is still effective Nolan likes to have his sound aggresive in moments so be prepared to give your sound system/Subwoofer a Work Out with the 1st 2 films sounding excellent. With Rises Nolan pushes the sound even more and moments for some can sound muffled especially Bane however I will point out Bane's voice sounds clearer depending on your system but does seem maybe it possible that it was tweaked post cinema as all thetrical experiences I had was more muffled (could be speaker systems but I did see this in proper IMAX) and Nolan did have the sound of Tom Hardy's voice re-done before its release after the complaints from the IMAX Prologue (I still think Bane sounded more sinister in this original voice before it was dropped) however this still has some great soundscapes and will please many fans of the films. Now for the minor setback with this set the studio have decided to not use the 4K transfers for the included blu rays but recycled discs. The fact they have released other films with both the 4K and blu ray with the newer transfer on other discs before is just ridiculous as I am sure many would love to see these in 4K but still have not yet upgraded to 4K is inexcuseable. The other setbacks is 1. There still not including the PIP feature for Batman Begins which was on their HD DVD and this didn't need to be PIP but could of been edited toegther as a mini featurette as it had some great moments about the making of the film that also had an interview with Ken Watanbe as well as about the music and editing. The last thing that is not included is the excellent documentary of more in-depth making of and impact of the films that was available on the 'Ultimate Collecor's Edition' is absent and should of been included with this but guess the Studio want more double dipping though I will say this is available to view online the fact they released it on disc before and not here is again inexcuseable. Apart from these drawbcks which gives this box set 4 out of 5 stars the films are fantstic and finally in first rate filmic Visual transfer and great Audio Quality and if THX were still around I'm sure these 4K descs would of been given their seal of approval.

Excellent!
First of all, delivery by Amazon Prime was perfect! Arrived within 12hours of me ordering. It was packaged in the usual brown Amazon envelope which I was a bit worried about but after opening it, the box was fresh with no dents. Its a standard box set, nothing fancy like the steelbooks but it does the job and looks great. I picked this up for the bargain price of £29 in the Black Friday deals and so far I am really impressed. I've read reviews and watched YouTube videos where people talk about the quality of these movies in 4K but its really something you have to experience for yourself. I am in love with the iMax scenes. So much detail in the picture, the colours jump off the screen. I would have liked a Dolby Atmos soundtrack but that's not to say the sound on these disc's isn't good , in fact it sounds great. In truth, Michael Keaton is my favourite Batman and the Tim Burton movies will always be special to me. But I can't deny how good the new movies are though. Great story, brilliant car scenes and an overall new look to Batman. Quite a lot of bouns material on the extra Blu Ray disc. I haven't watched them all yet but lots of great behind the scenes footage and interviews if you like that sort of thing

Only paid £23 for this set which I felt was really good value for money! Absolutely love this trilogy of movies, particularly The Dark Knight which is my personal favourite of the trilogy, it’s such an incredible experience and is absolutely a must-watch for anyone remotely interested in Batman! The quality of the 4K picture is great as well! Overall, am really pleased with this purchase and the great service provided! 👍

Perfecting a masterpiece!
The clarity and crispness of the image, combined with the lifelike accuracy of the HDR, make for an increase of depth and overall richness to the image; the IMAX scenes are guaranteed to make you pause and stare in wonder! The remaster of Batman Begins may not impress in the way one might hope, but The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises more than make up for it, as both were originally shot on a combination of traditional 35mm and IMAX 65mm film, and look truly amazing.

An Amazing box set
Excellent quality box set - the 4K images are simply stunning - and even though the sound is NOT in Dolby Atmos - the sound is still breathtaking. A set that Batman enthusiasts would not be disappointed with.

Someone tightend the package to hard so it left a mark on the box.
Besides that, this is probably the best trilogy ever made.
