Brilliant
This Chromebook is brilliant. I've used it more as a tablet so far to play games on, the play store is available on here and easy to use. Everything on the tablet is very easy to manoeuvre, especially if you're already accustomed to using android systems, though even if not it shouldn't take too long to get used to. The first start up you need to download a few updates and have a few restarts before you can get going, but they don't take too long to do. So far I've only used the tablet for some internet browsing and downloading and playing games. Everything has worked quickly, even turning on the tablet is very quick. The pen comes with the 8gb RAM option, it is the first time I've used one of these so I can't compare to others, but it does the job it's supposed to do, it's much more accurate than a simple stylus and I had fun using the handwriting app to have a play, watching it turn my writing into typed text. I use it a bit while playing some games, but can see it would be great for someone that creates art on their tablets. The keyboard is very easy to attach, it has a strong magnet that snaps it into place and it works straight away, there's no loading time or anything, just snap it on and off as and when needed. It works well and feels just like a normal small laptop. The case is very sturdy, it too as magnetic so it snaps into place. I was concerned when reading at the time of purchase that the stand would wear out quite quickly with it being in use a lot but it's definitely strong. It has hinges on it so it's not just some bendy material that will wear out, so it's made very well and I can see it lasting a long time. The case itself is also very smart looking. The only issue I could find is that you have to have the keyboard attached so that the screen has some protection. So if you are taking it out and only need the tablet, you will still need to take the keyboard with you. It's only a small issue really as the keyboard isn't adding a drastic amount of weight or anything, it's more about having the option of taking it with you or not. Overall I absolutely love this tablet, it's built well, very sturdy accessories and definitely worth the money spent on it, great value product.

Good value and good quality.
I bought this Levono tablet to replace a faulty tablet built by a lesser known Chinese manufacturer. (The manufacturer wanted me to send the faulty unit back for replare via courier to China at my own expense - ยฃ120.00!! - even though it was still under warranty! - whereas Amazon arranged for a next -day collection and refund at no quibble! - so 5-stars to Amazon). I chose Levovo after using their PC's at work and that unlike my previous tablet, Lenovo is a well known manufacturer. (Plus I think that should it goes wrong, they're not likely to want me to send it to China to be mended and at my own expense). The build of the tablet and detactable keyboard is very sturdy. The cases to the tablet is metal with a smooth satin anodised finish. The keyboard has a fabric weaved backing. The stand to the tablet when used as a laptop is a bit unusual though. It attaches magnetically to the back of the tablet, making it detachable - useful in someways I suppose - but if you forget to take it out with you when using the keyboard you'll have to prop it up with a book or something. The covering to the stand is - like the keyboard - covered with a fabric weave. Time will tell how well how well the fabric on the stand and keyboard copes with normal wear and tear. The keys to the keyboard have a very good positive touch to them. The keyboard itself connects to the tablet very firmly. There's little danger of the keyboard coming adrift accidentally. The 10.95" display on the screen is crisp, and the colours are very good. (I would've liked to get a tablet with a 12" screen, but money dictated otherwise). Some have complained that there is no 3.5 mm sterio headphone socket on this tablet and that the sound from the speakers is tinny. That is true. However the unit comes with a USB-C to 3.5 mm converter as the unit only has 2 USB-C sockets on either end of the case. These serve as charging and audio output. The audio quality is good through earbuds, whereas it's a bit tinney through tablet speakers. But one cannot expect full sterio surround-sound with full bass with a unit of this size. Speed-wise I'm no expert when it comes to processor speed compaired to others, but to me it's very good. As regards to the operating system .... this is my first venture into the world of ChromeOS, so I'm still finding my way round it. In desktop mode it feels and looks like Windows, whereas in tablet form it looks like typical Android. The only thing I think Lenovo should've included in the build is a mini SD card slot. The only other problem - which is not Lenovo's fault - is the lack of tablet cases that can take the tablet and keyboard for this model. Overall Im pretty pleased with it.

The best single computing device I have ever used
I have been in IT for 30 years, and have bought dozens of laptops and servers in that time. I currently run 3 windows laptops, 2 windows servers and multiple Linux servers in my home. (just to indicate that I am not a novice user). This is genuinely the greatest single laptop computing device I have ever bought. I had the previous duet 3, I also own the duet 5 and several other Chromebooks. The brilliant thing about the duet 3 is that it provides the full chrome browser experience in a tablet format which can be converted into a laptop format. So all the extensions work, all the history tabs and bookmarks sync between all the devices. This is in marked contrast to all non-chromebook tablets including iPads and Android tablets. The browsing experience on these devices is absolutely miserable. The user is forced into the dreadful webkit browsing engine on iPads in particular. This single restriction makes the iPad essentially useless if you do intensive browser-based or PWA-based computing. Unfortunately the same is true on Android tablets also. Chromebooks spectacular benefit is they provide ability to do the full PC browser environment , exactly bitful bet . To have this on a touch tablet is just marvelous. The form factor means you can carry the device around, and it's function can range from being a simple Kindle reader to being a full-fledged laptop on which you can run office or Google workspace apps and a great deal more. The included USI 2. Pen and holder is a major bonus. I use the bigger duet 5 Around the house and the duet 3 when I leave the house or travel abroad. I only use the windows laptops for photo processing or for spreadsheet work where I need a larger screen. Just an amazing device and genuinely the best bit of electronics hardware I have ever purchased in my long history of purchasing electronic hardware.

Defective operating system
Shortly after I began using the Duet I experienced the same problems described by a previous reviewer in a review that he posted several days after the laptop was delivered to me. Apps began opening and closing erratically, random data was input into fields in the Chrome browser, and the computer became unusable. At first I thought that I had that extreme rarity, a Chrome virus/malware, but a scan with AVG antivirus gave the all clear. Another problem was that the touchscreen was laboriously slow and laggy: sometimes the screen took up to seven seconds to respond to input. I checked for firmware updates but there were none. I found that switching off the screen for a few seconds put a temporary stop to the operating system going haywire but there was no solution to the lazy touchscreen problem. Unfortunately the OS issue grew worse and worse until I reached the point where turning off the screen failed to reset the OS. The last straw came when I checked Google forums and found that the Duet operating system has known instability issues and consequently many people have experienced the same problems that I and my fellow reviewer experienced. With one day left in my return window I decided to return this defective computer and posted it back to Amazon. Refund has been received.

Good for students!
I purchased this Chromebook as a replacement for my 2015 MacBook Air. I'm a student at University and after my first year I wanted something I could use to write notes during lectures but also type on if I wanted. This Chromebook mostly delivers on that. I found it extremely difficult to find reviews where the reviewer spoke about the hand writing with the stylus. It's pretty good, totally useable if not quite as good as say an iPad. I would rate it at maybe 90% as good. The keyboard is OK, you can smash out emails or type out lecture notes. But I would not want to type an assignment on this thing it's a little cramped. The track pad is mediocre. I read some reviews that said it was OK but I struggle to use it, it's a little bit too small and lacks the sensitivity of say a MacBook. The display is fab, nice colours and contrast ratio. I have never had a problem using it indoors but can't comment on it's outdoors performance. The battery life is fantastic. On 100% it's showing as over 10 hours and I can absolutely believe that. Connectivity is also great, the USB C connections means connecting to an external display is super easy and my Uni recently added these to the library. It turns my little Chromebook into a proper tool. Installing the Microsoft Office web apps was a breeze through my Uni account, although performance even on the 8GB model is a little sluggish. But once booted up it works fine. Recommended for light use, if you're considering this to be a direct and only replacement for a laptop then I'd consider a different Chromebook. BUT if you're in the market for a kind of tablet kind of laptop that's super easy to take with you then I'd recommend it.

Seems good
Keep in mind that I bought the 8GB RAM 128GB and that considering other reviews, other versions (4GB RAM 64/128GB) could come with different accessories or performance. Since the description is not clear on what the package comes with, here are the contents they sent to me: a keyboard, a case, an adapter for Jack to USB-C, the penholder, and the Lenovo pen USI 2.0 pen itself. See attached images. UPDATE: 12OCT2023 So far, so good. The first thing after setting everything up was to make sure I was using the latest version of the ChromeOS. Initially, it was in version 103 and I had to, manually, "Check for Updates" multiple times to get to the latest version, which is 117 as of the time of this review. Before buying, I checked some people saying that there were battery drain issues and that they resolved this a few months ago. To confirm this, I have been shutting down the tablet and leaving it alone overnight, plus a few more hours. I was pleased to see that it did not spend any percentage of battery. I went to sleep with 91% battery and after hours it was still with 91%. Another thing I stumbled upon is that there is a known bug for ChromeOS regarding using the on-screen keyboard while using Linux apps inside the Linux container. This means that for any Linux apps you want to use, you need to use them with the keyboard attached. As of right now, this is not fixed and there are no previsions as to when that will happen. Keep this in mind if you want to use Linux apps in tablet mode. I will try to update this review when this is fixed. One minor discovery I did not find in reviews was that the pen has a magnet, so it's possible to put the pen on one side of the tablet, magnetically. The pen holder is not the only place you can attach it to (it should be more secure, though). The pen comes with an AAAA battery (just one inside) instead of being rechargeable. Before the first use, you are supposed to open the pen. When opening it, make sure to only remove the small black insulation pad and not the attached paper inside, as removing it will cause the pen to stop working. ______________ UPDATE: 10OCT2023 I did not use it yet because I wanted to add a review including what accessories the package comes with first. I will update my review after using the Chromebook.

Great for students, but also great for everyone else!
The Lenovo IdeaPad Duet 3 is an impressive 2-in-1 device that seamlessly blends portability with functionality. Its sleek design, lightweight chassis, and detachable keyboard make it perfect for on-the-go users. The vibrant 11-inch touchscreen display offers crisp visuals, ideal for streaming content or productivity tasks. Performance-wise, the Duet 3 is equipped with adequate processing power for everyday tasks, though it may struggle with heavy multitasking. Battery life is commendable, lasting through a full day of use. While the trackpad can be a bit cramped, the overall typing experience is satisfactory. This device is exceptionally priced for students or professionals seeking versatility without breaking the bank.

My goto Chromebook for on the go computing
So I've got the Snapdragon 7c 2k screen 8GB Lenovo 3 - for my line of work I wouldn't use anything less than 8GB models for running ChromeOS, if you choose the 4GB models I think you'd start to feel some pain depending on how many WebApps, Android Apps and Linux Apps you might leave open . This joins as my 3rd Chromebook device - amongst other old laptops running ChromeOS Flex (Chromebook without the Android features) What I really like about this Lenovo 3 8GB Portability - The thin flip detachable keyboard is great for when I need to do some quick diagnostics in a server room or when not a my base location etc The keyboard feels light to travel , the mouse trackpad is OK not great but then again I don't like trackpads so I tend to pair my existing keyboard and mouse. The keyboard acts as part of the screen cover - so any grease or dirt you have on fingers etc will end up on the screen if you've been using the keyboard, e.g. keyboard dirt squares on the screen - standard laptop issue imho. The otherside of the Lenovo has a back fabric feel which acts as a bendable stand, I've had the magnets detach once when I pushed the screen backwards on the sofa. Device Connections - I've had no issues bluetooth pairing with my existing Logi Mx3s Keyboard and MX3 Mouse so that I can maintain device feel continuity between my Chromebooks, When using my usb-c hub for connecting ethernet, usb thick and hdmi monitors output etc I found that this Lenovo can only drive 1 additional external monitor this is unlike my Asus and Google Pixel Go Chromebooks which drive 3 external monitors happily, keep this limitation in mind. The Lenovo has no issue when attached to my 32' 4k Monitor via a usb-c connection. Size and Weight - In Tablet mode is good, but so far I rarely use it, it's good because the keyboard is fully detachable unlike my Asus CX3400 Flip (its heavy in tablet mode not this lenovo) - having access to my defined Chrome Web apps from device to device is again nice - you start to think about the grouping of your webapps. The screen is a nice 10.9 size again this is nice for portability Speakers - Compared with my Google Pixel Chromebook , the Pixel wins hands down - nothing I've seen yet comes close to the sound of the Pixel. Compared to Asus Chromebook (which claims to have B&O speakers - I think they were having an 'off' day when they designed the Asus speakers)_ the Lenovo speakers are pretty close to the Asus which is amazing given the size of the Lenovo speaker grills. It has no base a such but is ok for watching Netflix on. Speed - The device happily renders webapps nicely , runs ssh terminal sessions , vs-code for remote development editing, Keep stuff that you want to keep in your google drive and have links in your Linux partition to your google drive .e.g vscode workspaces etc Camera - It has an 8MP Back camera and a 5MP Front camera - which is not great but it's Ok for Teams, Slack and Telegram calls So downsides: - 1 external monitor only Very Minor niggles - Careful with the magnetic keyboard and back flip - speaker sound - 128GB diskspace - 8MP back camera, 5MP front camera Very positives: - Chrome OS - Whats NOT to like about being able to wipe your machine and get it all back running in under and hour, including your Linux code environment. - Portability - Connectivity - Tablet mode - Speed For what this is - it's a buy in this 8GB Snapdragon 7c configuration.
